NUTRITION MONTH

POSTER MAKING CONTEST

Annually in the month of July, the whole nation solemnizes the Nutrition Month

purposely to disseminate the message about proper nutrition to all Filipinos. This year’s

theme, “Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit for Life” centers on the promotion of eating healthy

foods together with proper exercise and enough sleep.

As part of Nutrition Month celebration the Nueva Ecija High School conducted

simultaneous events and contests facilitated by Technology and Livelihood Education

department headed by Miss Flozerfida C. Alla together with her teachers under the

aforementioned department.

Furthermore, the Poster Making Contest was held on July 14, 2017 at exactly 1 o’clock

in the afternoon in the Feeding Center room. The mechanics and the criteria of the

Nutrition Month’s Poster making are as follows:

1. The poster making contest is open to all Nueva Eciija High School students.

2. Pre-registration form will be given to all interested applicants and should all be

submitted.

3. The poster should only focus on the theme ‘Healthy Diet, Gawing Habit for Life”.

4. The size of the poster should be ¼ of an illustration board. All needed materials

must be provided by the participants during the contest day such as:

 Drawing paper

 Pencil

 Oil paints

 Water crayons

 Crayons

 Crayon pens

 Others

5. All artworks must be done on the spot and must be completed within the allotted

time of two (2) hours).

6. All entries shall be judged by a board of judges composed of selected teachers

from Nueva Ecija High School.

7. The prizes shall be:

1st Place – will receive a gold medal and certificate

2nd Place – will receive a silver medal and certificate

3rd Place – will receive a bronze medal and certificate

8. Non- winning entries shall be given certificate of appreciation signed by the

chairman of Poster making Contest, TLE Department Head Teacher and the

School Principal.

9. Winning and all other entries shall be the property of the organizers.

10. Winners will be identified at the end of the activity.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

All artwork will be judged based on the following criteria:

 Relevance to the theme 40%

 Creativity and Presentation 40%

 Originality 20%

 Total 100%
 NUTRITION MONTH

The contest participated by 22 selected students of Nueva Ecija High School from

grades 7-10. All of them completed their work at prescribed time and presented each

one’s creation to the board of judges. The winners were identified at the end of the

competition and they were Mitzi Clarice Valentin of 7-Einstein – champion, Erica Mae

Reyes of 7 – Pitimini – first runner up, and Shanielle Joy Figueroa of 7 – Einstein – second

runner up.
