RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design

This study applies a descriptive design.

DESCRIPTIVE DESIGN is defined as a research method that describes the

characteristics of the population or phenomenon that is being studied. In other
words, descriptive research primarily focuses on describing the nature of a
demographic segment, without focusing on “why” a certain phenomenon occurs. The
conceptualizing of descriptive research precedes the hypothesis of explanatory
research.

Methods and Procedure

This study is supported by methods and procedure which are:

SURVEY - is defined as a research method used for collecting data from a pre-
defined group of respondents to gain information and insights on various topics of
interest. Surveys have a variety of purposes and can be carried out in many ways
depending on the methodology chosen and the objectives to be achieved. The data is
usually obtained through the use of standardized procedures whose purpose is to
ensure that each respondent is able to answer the questions at a level playing field to
avoid biased opinions that could influence the outcome of the research or study. A
survey involves asking people for information through a questionnaire, which can be
distributed on paper, although with the arrival of new technologies it is more
common to distribute those using digital media such as social networks, email, QR
codes or URLs.

QUESTIONNAIRES - are a good way to obtain information from a large number

of people and/or people who may not have the time to attend an interview or take
part in experiments. People should be encouraged to answer the questions as
honestly as possible so as to avoid the researchers drawing false conclusions from
their study. Questionnaires typically contain multiple choice questions, attitude
scales, closed questions and open-ended questions. The drawback for researchers is
that they usually have a fairly low response rate and people do not always answer all
the questions and/or do not answer them correctly.
5
Questionnaire

in every qualifications inside PTC-Iba. The survey consists of five (5) questions with
two (2) possible answer and twenty (20) respondents.
