Iron Man Amigurumi Doll

Pattern by Gina Fiorito, for Electric Bunny Crafts

A Note on Yarn:
Be sure to use a soft worsted weight yarn for these dolls. I
personally like the feel of Red Heart Soft and Caron Simply Soft on
the finished product, although they can sometimes be hard to
work with. I had no problem mixing brands.

Finished Size: 5.5-6” / 14-16 cm tall; 2.5” / 6 cm

Be sure to move your stitch marker to the
Gauge: 5 stitches = 1” beginning of each round so as not to lose your
place!
Abbreviations (US terms):
When stuffing your body parts, loosely start
R - row stuffing during the decrease rows and then stuff
ch - chain firmly before crocheting the last row.
st(s) - stitch(es)
sc - single crochet Leave extra long tails after fastening off each
inc – sc 2 in one stitch part. The tail will be used to attach each part to
dec - decrease by crocheting 1 sc in 2 sts the next. Additional notes and tutorials linked on

R1 – Using Red (#RD); Magic Circle; sc 6 each curve of gold, with about 4 full stitches
R2 – [inc] x6 (12 sts) visible between them.
R3 – [sc 1, inc] x6 (18 sts)
R4 – [sc 2, inc] x6 (24 sts) Begin stuffing the head with your fiber filling
R5 – [sc 3, inc] x6 (30 sts)
R6 – [sc 4, inc] x6 (36 sts) R17 – [sc 4, dec] x2, sc 1; cc #GD, sc 3, dec, sc 4,
R7-8 (2 rnds) – sc 36 dec; cc #RD, sc 3, [sc 4, dec] x2 (30 sts)
R9 – sc 13; cc to Gold (#GD), sc 3; cc #RD, sc 3; R18 – [sc 3, dec] x2, sc 2; cc #GD, sc 1, dec, sc 3;

R15-16 – sc 12; cc #GD, sc 12; cc #RD, sc 12 (36
sts) R21 – [dec] x6 (6 sts); sl st and fasten off; weave in
end.
At this point it is best to attach the safety eyes. I
placed mine between rows 12-13, centered in (The head is the only body part that will not have
a tail.)

LEGS x2
R1 – Using #RD, Magic Circle; sc 8 R3 – cc #GD, sc 15
R2 – [inc] x7, sc 1 in last sc (15 sts) R4 – sc 15; sl st; fasten off, leave extra long tail

BODY
R1 – Using #RD; sc into sl st of LEG 1, and continue to sc around in
remaining 14 sc; sc into sl st of LEG 2, and continue to sc sc tog one
stitch of LEG 1 and LEG 2. (This stitch counts as the first stitch on Leg 1
only.) Continue to sc around in remaining 14 sc of Leg 1. SC around
each stitch of LEG 2, ending with one last sc in the same stitch that
you used to sc tog when you started the round (15 sts for LEG 2). (30
sts total)
R2 – starting in first sc of LEG 1, sc 30 (30 sts)
R3 – [sc 3, dec] x6 (24 sts)
R4-5 (2 rnds) – sc 24
R6 – [sc 2, dec; cc #GD, sc 2, dec; cc #RD sc 2, dec] x2 (18 sts)
R7 – [sc 3; cc #GD, sc 3; cc #RD, sc 3] x2 (18 sts)
R8 – [sc 1, dec] x6 (12 sts)

R1 – Using #RD; Magic Circle; sc 6 R6 – cc #RD, sc 6
R2 – [inc] x6 (12 sts) R7 – sc 6; sl st, fasten off, leave extra long tail.
R3 – sc 12
R4 – cc #GD, [dec] x6 (6 sts) Do not stuff!
R5 – sc 6

ARC REACTOR (Use “B” Crochet Hook)

R1 – Using #WH; Magic Circle; sc 8; sl st, fasten off, leave extra long tail.

DOLL CONSTRUCTION
STEP 1: Attach body to head using the tail left on the body. It is best to
line up the body with R20 of the head as they have the same amount of
stitches (12).

STEP 2: To attach arms, flatten seams and attach to the top of the
body, approximately 1” apart.

STEP 3: Sew “Arc Reactor” onto the center of doll’s chest.
