Fix for Permission Issues 

 
1. To get folder sharing to display double‐click on My Computer 
2. Click on Tools and then select Folder Options. 
3. Select the view tab 
4. Under Advanced settings scroll to the very bottom. 
5. If Use simple file sharing (Recommended) is checked uncheck it. 
6. Click Apply at the bottom right. 
7. Then click OK. 

 
 

8. Install PCASE 2.09 accepting installation to the default location. 
9. Double‐click on My Computer 
10. Double‐click on C: 
11. Left‐click on the EMS Program Files folder to select it. 
12. Right‐click and then double‐click on Properties 
 

 
 
13. Left‐Click on the Security Tab. 
 

 
 
14. Select Users in the top list 
15. Make sure everything is checked except “Full Control” 
16. Click Apply  
17. Click Okay 
 

To Test 
 
1. Right‐click on My‐Computer 
2. Double‐click on Manage 
3. In the left‐hand tree view double‐click on Local Users and Groups. 
4. Left click on the Users folder to select it. 
5. Left‐click on the right side of the form. 
6. Right‐click  and then double‐click on New User 

 
7. After creating a new user click Create and then Close 
8. Close out of everything. 
9. Logoff and then log back in as the new user 
10. Start PCASE and test it.
