Ephesians 6:10-17

°Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the
devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers
of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that
when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. "Stand firm then,
with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the
readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 161n addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all
the flaming arrows of the evil one. "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

I. Protector and Warrior
The Protector of Society is a Warrior who has two essential tools that defines his or her calling: The Weapon and The Armor. In any
given situation, a proficient Protector who is a wise Warrior has the skills sharpened by experience to utilize any object available on
hand as a weapon. The same Warrior wears a protective armor in order to serve with excellence. It is carefully fitted like a suit that
is well-tailored and finely adjusted in order not to restrict movement. Consequently, the well-fitted armor allows the Protector to
fight the enemy with efficacy.
The Police Officer today may wear the most modern tactical armor that protects the body from ballistic projectiles. More than this
and considering the moral and ethical explosive rounds that target the Protector and Warrior, the Police Officer needs to put on a
Spiritual Armor that will preserve his or her integrity to stand with authority and fight to victory.
Fitting that spiritual armor means a period of learning, testing and proving or validating. The 48 Weeks of fitting your armor is a
journey that aims to familiarize you with what God or Allah had provided for you as the Protector of the people and the Warrior of
society.
We will be praying that the-fit will be true to your form and movement, enhancing your faithful service with excellence, not just
protecting people but above all, inspiring them as well. Enjoy your journey of discovery towards that excellence'
II. The Journey as a Learning and Fulfilling Experience
This workbook was designed with a simple and straightforward format that is meant to quietly accompany you in a meaningful
journey. It intends to help you develop the skill of critical thinking and the habit of practical application. Here are a few things you
will need to know in order to maximize the materials:
1. The objective of the exercise is to identify the 3 Life Zones that are core elements in the life of a Police Officer: Me,
My Family and My Service.
2. The method is to identify the vital values that would enhance the Life Zones and in the process, discover the integrating
factor of all three core elements: God or Allah.

3. The result is the formation of a noble character that defines the honor of the Police Officer
4. The task is reflecting daily on a Passage or Surah that is assigned weekly from the Bible and/or the Our'an validating
the values that build the noble character of the Police Officer.
5. The commitment of the Police Officer and Squad Member is to set aside at least ten (10) minutes a day to write down
his or her thoughts based on a Bible Passage or a Our'an Surah on with following guidelines:
A INSPIRATION: How did God/ Allah speak to me through the Passaqe/Surah?

B. ACTION: What is the Holy Spirit/Allah encouraging me to do today based on the Passaqe/Surah?
C. EDUCATION: What is the day's most significant learning related to the Passaqe/Surah?
D. REFLECTION: Other thoughts, reflections and challenges that arise from my study of the week's Passage/
Surah.
6. The benefit is the opportunity to memorize passages from the Bible or the Our'an. At the bottom of the facing page of
each week's worksheet, you will find your memory verse. Just as it is suggested that you read the Passage for Reflection
slowly and carefully each time you work on the guides, read the Memory Verse also carefully, slowly and aloud so that by
the end of the week, you would have already understood and memorized the assigned verse. This will add to your growing
number of verses that you have memorized from the Bible or the Our'an.
7. The expectation is for the Police Officer to join his or her squad actively in a weekly meeting designated by the Squad
Leader for Focused Interaction, Refreshing and Encouragement (FIRE).
, 8. The desired outcome of the 48 Weeks is for you to have developed a protective armor that is both intangible and
spiritual as well as experiential and transformational.
Ill. The Integrity of the Police Officer
When the Police Officer allows God or Allah to be the Integrating Force in connecting his or her three Life Zones through vital
values, the resulting noble character that is developed not only defines the honor in his or her calling but also the nobility of his or
her character. As a result, the Police Officer can stand tall and proud because of his or her Integrity.
I have always believed that among the major departments of a functioning government, it is only the Police Service, the PNP, that
has both feet literally and figuratively on the ground and with both hands touching the people at the grassroots. This is the unique
position of privilege that belongs exclusively to the Police Officer. And more than that, by expanding that influence and capturing
that opportunity, the PNP, through the Police Officer of Integrity can now assume the important role of catalyst in the transforma-
tion of Philippine Society!
