A. Project Title:

Lakbay Kalinga sa Kumakalam na Sikmura at Hatid Kaalaman sa Kapakanan Pangkaisipan para

sa natatanging Kabataan ng Purok Karachi, University Site Extension

B. Project Duration:

* Once a week- Every Saturday morning from 7:30-10:30am

* The project will be conduct within 3 months, from March 7 up to May SY 2020

C. Project Scope:

This project will involve the NSTP first (1) year college students from Cluster L008. It

will be conducted on the second semester of the SY 2019-2020 at Purok Karachi, University

Site, specifically those children who are undernourished and out of school.

D. Project Status:

The project status is currently in the planning stage with an expected start date in mid-

February 2020. It will be conducted by the CWTS students from cluster L008. We will conduct
surveying study to the said location to decide whatever amount and materials to pursue the

project.

E. Project Beneficiaries:

1. Children in Purok Karachi

Estimation of 15 to 20 children of Purok Karachi in University Site Extension can benefit

on this project. Approximately, 20 children can be direct beneficiaries and less than 10 are the

indirect beneficiaries. Most of the families in this Purok have children who are starving and need

some help in terms of their health and education.

2. Community

To encourage the Community to participate in succeeding projects about literacy program

especially the adults who are uneducated. They will be inspired by their youngsters to have

patience and persistence in learning how to read, write and count for them not to be under-

estimated and maltreated.

3. L008 Students of MSEUF

The L008 students can be benefited to be generous, and charitable, as program by the

government for us to learn how to socialize with people from all walks of lives and to carry that

experience up to our adulthood, also to acquire various principles that will be helpful in the

development of our live.

F. Project Background
One of the major problem in Purok Karachi, in University Site, they cannot express their

selves because they lack of education, food and resources. They badly needed some help for

them to learn how to work hard and know that there are still many things that they need to

understand to survive for a living. Because of their problems in money and education some of

them cannot read and write. So we developed this proposal for them to become aware; learn new

things. This problem started a long time ago but not so many people do know this.

This project proposal developed because one of my friends suggested that people living in this

area must be given help and support in terms of health, food and education. I realize that the

children that are currently residing badly need assistance from the group like us (NSTP-CWTS)

who are seeking for those who are in needs as part of our community service. L008 Batch 2013

already started the project and we, L008 Batch 2019-2020 will continue whatever the former

group had begun.

G. Project Justification

The problem should be solve immediately because many people living in Purok Karachi

lack of resources (food, clothing, livelihood and education) for the young ones. The effects of

this kind of problem to those children in that area are suffering difficulties in many ways. That is

why a lot of them have a lack of etiquette. One of the causes of this problem is that they don’t

have permanent jobs so they are unstable that may lead them to do unrighteous acts. The main
reason of their difficulties is lack of education, parents are uneducated thus their children are

illiterate too.

This project may give a small-scale of help to them but other cluster might follow us that may

contribute more to lift their way of living.

H. Project Objectives

The General objective of this project is to conduct a Feeding and Literacy Program for

those children in Purok Karachi, University Site Extension particularly the needy ones. The

Specific Objectives is to reduce their dilemma with regards to food and learning, to satisfy fully

the starving children who are under-nourished and to teach them how to read, write and calculate

numbers for them not to hail as benighted (Illiterate) and not to be deceived by others. Hence to

learned proper hygiene.

I. Project Description

The system in constructing to the project might have two options, Contribution by each

member of the group (NSTP-CWTS) or by school funds from MSEUF NSTP Council..

The group will conduct a survey first before proceeding to the said community. All of us (L008,

Batch 2019-2020) will be the one to screen the beneficiaries.


VI. Project Proponent

This project will be overseer by the cluster L008 of Manuel S. Enverga University

Foundation (CWTS) led by the respective adviser of the cluster, Mr. Neric M. Rivera. The

National Service Training Program Organization of MSEUF is divided into deferent assets of

cluster separate the large population of first year college students. Our cluster consists of more

than 80 students that will be divided into particular groups.

The one who will manage this project is the L008 (NSTP- CWTS) students and

FAQs
The total cost is estimated and ranging from 6,000-7,000 pesos, the remaining budget to

the fund will be buying some important things that can help to the project. During the

implementation of the project it will be monitored to the engagement of the children if they

participated well and their abilities to read and write are much concern. Seven thousand pesos

will be the total spent for the project. The workers for the project implementation is the Barangay

members and also the L008 students, there are more than 80 students who are the members of the

cluster. The assigned officer will be the one who will monitor the project. The project will be

conducted every week. The tools that are going to use during monitoring are the day by day

report after the lecture and the impacts of the activities they did. The result of the monitoring can

be recorded through creating a plan which included specific terms of the process. The monitoring

result can be the basis of what they can improve to the beneficiaries. To evaluate the project after

its completion it must have all the reports before and after conducting the project through they

may know if there is a difference from week one to week 13. The materials that are going to used

are the evaluation paper which contains different category and it will be check if they attain the

said category. The receipts, reports and minutes of the meetings are recorded and filed in one

clear book. The reports are being kept by the president of the project but all the members are part

to complete it. The L008 students will evaluate the beneficiaries if they learn something during

the whole lecture. After seeing the results of the evaluation it may basis what they can leave to

the beneficiaries that they can used even though the project is ended.

VIII. Project Summary

Pangkaisipan para sa natatanging Kabataan ng Purok Karachi, in University Site. The project

location is in Purok Karachi, University Site Extension near MSEUF. The project objectives are

to reduce their dilemma with regards to food and learning, to satisfy fully the starving children

who are under-nourished and to teach them how to properly read, write and calculate numbers

for them not to hail as benighted (Illiterate) and not to be deceived by others. Hence to learned

proper hygiene. The project beneficiaries are the Children of Purok Karachi, the Community and

the L008 students of MSEUF Lucena. The project status is currently in the planning stage with an

expected start date in mid-February 2020. Also this project will be overseer by the cluster L008

of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (CWTS) led by the respective adviser of the

cluster, Mr. Neric M. Rivera and L008 Officers and Students. For the total project cost the

estimated is 6,000-7,000 pesos.
