DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENCE NUMBER ON DIABETES MELITUS PATIENTS
BASED ON THE FIRST AGE OF DIFFERENT DIAGNOSIS IN PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER IN TENGGILIS MEJOYO OF SURABAYA By: Rizaldy Achmad K The increasing prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Indonesian territory, of course, must be prevented. One way to prevent it is to know the description of the incidence of diabetes mellitus based on the age of first diagnosed in Tenggilis Mejoyo of Surabaya. Age and sex were the respondent sociodemography that influenced the prevalence of diabetes mellitus. Patients with diabetes mellitus are first diagnosed as caused by early elderly. The research design was descriptive, with a population of 287 people with diabetes mellitus and a sample of 167 patients, with a random sample control sampling technique. Dependent variable was the incidence of diabetes mellitus. The instrument used questionnaire sheet. The analysis used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the first age was the most dominant age of 36 - 45 years, as many as 52 respondents (31.1%), while the least was age >65 years by 16 respondent (9,6%) in Public Health Center in Tenggilis Mejoyo of Surabaya Based on the above results, the most prevalent cases of Diabetes Mellitus were diagnosed at the age of 36-45 years old with a percentage (31.1%). Therefore, health workers needed to provide education about the management of Diabetes Mellitus to improve the quality of health, especially in patients with diabetes mellitus.
