Highlighting Recent Developments
• Polymeric Alloys of Polyolefins
• Proprietary NMP chemistry , Nitroxide-Mediated Polymerization
• Enables controlled molecular architecture
• Grafted polyolefins
• Reactive groups cleanly grafted onto the backbone
• Porous polyolefins for liquid addition
• Free flowing granules with an open cell structure

Polymer alloy Example
• LDPE-g-PS 10% in POM
Grafted Reactive Polyolefins
• Composite without…. And with 5% Graftabond HD-MAH
Grafted Reactive Polyolefin PP-g-MAH
• 20% GF ThermoFlow 601, 1% coupling agent in Resinex 2004 RXP PP
Benefits of Grafted Reactive Polyolefins
• > 90% Grafting efficiency
• Almost no residual chemicals LOWER VOC
• “Blocked Grafting”: Functional groups such as MAH are activated at higher
temperatures (>160°C)
• The material can be safely stored for at least 36 months
• Lower water sensitivity
• HIGH grafting degree, UP to 3%
• Grafting higher amounts of MAH, reduce the quantity required to achieve
good compatibility: Up to 60% less compatibilizers required
• Grafting reaction temperatures are low, at the melting temperature of
polymers (140°C- 150°C for polyolefin)
• Minimal polymer degradation
POROUS POLYMER CARRIER
• Porous polymers are most suitable for liquid, low melting, thermally
sensitive and otherwise difficult to handle additives that cannot be
processed by conventional extrusion compounding or masterbatching
techniques.
• Enables customization
• XLPE /PEX Mono-Sil process using in-house IP for product differentiation
• POLYMER matrixes available:
• LLDPE (suitable to use with PE)
• PP
• EVA (Suitable for any polyolefins, PVC)
• EBA (suitable to use with; PET,PA)
• SEBS | SBC (suitable to use with; ABS,SAN,HIPS)
• PLA (BIODEGRADABLE)

• Wire & Cable • Antioxidants
• Packaging Films • Coupling agents
• PEX-Pipes • Stabilizers
• Nonwovens • Lubricants
• Foams • Flame retardants, GRAFTASYNT™ HFFR
• Molded Products • Viscous liquid, 7% boron, branched polyol

• Masterbatches • Silanes
• Compounds • Peroxides

Ways to Innovate Using new additive technology
• Blends of base olefin and Polymeric alloys
• New properties, improved performance
• Grafted Reactive polymers
• Compatibilize diverse polymers,
• Enhance properties of mixed recycle feedstock
• Useful as Tie layers in polymer composites
• Porous Polymers
• Higher loading of liquid additives, up to 80% by weight
• Single step XLPE / PEX processing
• Easier metering and control of the molding or extrusion line
