 INTRODUCTION

This project comprises of a website on a management system that is duty management system on
COLLEGE FEST. The core work which this website specializes in registering the students of college to
different events of their interests as per their will. This website also provides informations about different
events that are to be presented at the final fest.

This project uses HTML scripting language to build the webpages using Cascading Style Sheets and
Database connected to it. Along with this, some web-pages have also been made using Scripts of
JavaScript language to handle some of the button events on the webpages.

The whole aim of the college events is to freshen up students after their hectic schedule of whole exam
and practical. To make them free and enquire the creative side of the mind, thus enabling them to excel in
each field. Also it helps to put a great show of team work and humility, in a way enabling the personal
level bonding.

Also, we have made individual pages about each and every event so that a student has no doubt while
choosing his genre of interests and perfecting it with participation in the event directly. The information
page directly links to the subsequent registration page thus leading to directly saving up of information
about information to be directly stored in the database of college.
 DESCRIPTION OF THE MODULES USED IN PROJECT

home.html

This script is the home page for the whole website, from where we can navigate and travel through the
whole website, that is, all the web pages. It comprises the Header, Navigation Bar, Side Navigation,
Content Body and Footer. The Header is the Name of the website with a image background with .jpg
format. The Navigation Bar comprises of some dropdown menus which act as the Hyperlink to the other
webpages which provide different features. Side Navigation also provides a way to reach the frequently
used features on the website. The Body contains small descriptions for the other webpages, that is, the
features that are available on the website, Finally, the Footer contains an Icon link to the Facebook profile
of the developer of website. Also, it contains the copyright statements.

As the name suggests it is the home page of the university that contains important links oh the college
fest. As a homepage it delivers its promise to enable students of the various helps that they can easily get
from the university web portal. The page consists of links about the events and along with it also has the
info about the us i.e. the university fest admins. This enables the students to directly be connected to us at
any point of time.

This php file save the data entered in the registration page.

registration.html

This module asks the users to enter their details in a HTML form in order to register for the participants
and on a preference basis, select the events they want to take part into. It has certain fields out of which
some are mandatory fields.

about.html

This page gives information about the university, its various regulations and regarding the help required
by any of the event related query.

contact.html

As the name suggests it gives contact number and various ways to contact the admins and also the
controlling body of the whole event. It contains information about all three of us along with our name and
numbers so that the users find it very easy to contact and clear the doubts regarding any of the query they
face.

DramaticPlay.html

This page gives information about the event “DRAMATC PLAY”. This page consists of all the
information about the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling
the user to get himself/herself for participation in the respective event.

Mehendi.html

This page gives information about the event “MEHENDI”. This page consists of all the information
about the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling the user to
get himself/herself for participation in the respective event. This event is completely focused on
delivering the creativity of participants to the highest levels.

GroupSinging.html

This page gives information about the event “GROUP SINGING”. This page consists of all the
information about the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling
the user to get himself/herself for participation in the respective event.

SoloSinging.html

This page gives information about the event “SOLO SINGING”. This page consists of all the
information about the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling
the user to get himself/herself for participation in the respective event. This event calibrates the level of
hard work and team spirit a participant has.

GroupDance.html

This page gives information about the event “Group Dance”. This page consists of all the information
about the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling the user to
get himself/herself for participation in the respective event. It also gives the info of how a person is
doing as an individual and also as a team.

SoloDance.html

This page gives information about the event “Solo Dance”. This page consists of all the information
about the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling the user to
get himself/herself for participation in the respective event.

sketching.html:
This page gives information about the event “SKETCH”. This page consists of all the information about
the event. At the end of the page it contains link of the registration page thus enabling the user to get
himself/herself for participation in the respective event. This event is completely focused on delivering
the creativity of participants to the highest levels.

Note:

1. All the modules have used appropriate style and script through CSS, PHP and JS.

2. All the connectivity has been done by PHP Script on phpMyAdmin database through xampp server.

Area of Study

The COLLEGE FEST is an annual college events that aims to develop the cognitive skills of the students
and the respective interests so as to make them a better human being. This entitles the the whole student
body with a very big task to make sure every thing is going on as per plans and there is nothin that is
vague and comes out of the blues to an embarrassment.
It is timed so well according to the schedule of the the university that it
comes right after the exams and practical. The students are also at that point of time a bit soggy. This event
through their lively events freshen up the students and fills them with energy.

Need of COLLEGE FEST

In todays world, just the academics brilliance is just next to nothing and an overall development plan is
necessary for every one in this competitive environment. The only platform in the college for students to
develop the cognitive skills along with the creative skills is given by this COLLEGE FEST. It develops
better cognitive skills and receptive skills amongst the students.

of fun and learning where spectacular ideas are displayed, and students learn and feel inspired.
Hackathons encourage students to rack their brains and brainstorm to provide solutions for any existing
substantial problem such as digitization, electricity issues, and other alarming concerns. These events
guide engineers, computer experts, researchers to dream bigger and achieve them.

Develop Soft Skills –

Employers seek candidates who can think out of the box and possess effective communication skills.
Those who can multi-task, take initiative, and are enterprising have better chances of getting hired.
Students grow in multiple directions if they actively participate in college fests. Students who volunteer
and organize college fests display their self-starter attitude, which is highly appreciated by recruiters,
especially while hiring for managerial positions. Besides that, students also develop four essential skills
from organizing fests – planning, teamwork, leadership, and multi-tasking. They also learn how to
balance personal and professional life which helps in differentiating between doers and dreamers.

They are a platform to develop the better plans for

their future as it also helps them to find their hidden talents and sometimes it is the only thing that
matters.
