Use a plastic or a metalic sleeve for applications in hollow bricks, in order to stop the mortar from running
out through the bricks’ holes, thus obtaining a perfect fit.

• The recommended resins for this application are Polyester, Epoxy, Vinylester or Pure epoxy.
• The concrete base must be compact and porosity insignificant.
• Installation temperature range for base material: +5 / + 40 ºC
• Installation temperature for mortar: > 5 ºC
• Istallation may be performed into wet holes as long as they are not flooded, as mortar injection into the
hole does not expel water out correctly. Only MOEPSE offers the possibility of installation into flooded
holes.
• Minimum installation depth values must always be respected: for anchors’ depth, for anchor-to-anchor
distances and for anchor-to-edge distances.
• Drilling must be performed by respecting the specified minimum depth and diameter, perpendicular to the
base material’s surface. The holes on the material to be fixed may be used as templates. Diamond drill
bits are not to be used.
• When drilling near any reinforcement areas, special care must be taken to avoid damaging them. If
drilling is aborted because a reinforcement area has been encountered, it is advisable to drill a new hole
at a minimum distance of at least twice the aborted drill hole. This advisable distance may be reduced,
as long as the aborted hole is previously filled up with high-resistance mortar. In any case, if the aborted
hole is not filled up with mortar, no shear or oblique tension load in the direction of load application will be
tolerated at a shorter distance than the installation depth value hef.
• It is necessary to clean the holes free of dust and debris by following this or a similar procedure:
Step 1: Blow the holes twice by using a hand air-pump.
Step 2: Brush into the holes twice (check table for appropriate brush size).
Repeat these two steps for three more times.
Extreme caution at this point when dealing with these types of anchors
• Remove the cartridge cap, screw the nozzle onto the cartridge and then place the set into the gun. Pull
the trigger repeatedly until a homogeneous gray mixture of mortar comes out through the nozzle. Any
iridescent colors mean the mixture is not appropriate yet. Always discard the first two doses of mortar
from every cartridge, which are never to be used for any fixings.
Special indication for 170 ml and 300 ml cartridges: cut off the bag immediatedly after the seal
clip.
Special indication for 600 ml cartridges: these cartridges take special nozzles under code
MORCAPU. Standard nozzles valid for the rest of cartridges under code MORCANU are not valid
for these cartridges.
• Fill up the hole with the minimum quantity of mortar indicated on the table. Introduce the nozzle down to
the end of the hole when doing so, in order to avoid air bubbles. Our Mortar Calculation Software may be
used for estimating the number of cartridges necessary for each application and which is available on our
website www.indexfix.com.
• Introduce the stud or rod by screwing it slightly down to the installation depth value, in order to make sure
any remaining debris fuses with the mortar and within the handling time. The mortar must overflow the
hole to ensure that the gap between the stud and the hole is completely full.
• Wait for the specified curing time. Do not apply any loads onto the anchoring during curing time. Further
adjustments of the stud are likely to be necessary during curing time, as the hole diameter is always
bigger than the bolt/rod diameter. Be aware the mortar does not overflow the hole on walls or ceilings.
• If the cartridge is not used up, keep it with the nozzle on. Change the nozzle in the case the handling
time has expired, and always discard the first two doses of mortar.

• After curing time, apply torque. Do not exceed the torque shown on this table.
• In case the holes on the material to be fixed are bigger than they should, a bigger and thicker washer
may be inserted. However, this will not ensure a perfect shear load balance from anchor to anchor in a
group. Thus, the shear load will only apply to the anchors with a correct diameter on the material to be
fixed.
Extreme caution at this point when dealing with these types of anchors
• Insert the plastic sleeve into the hole so it does not stand out of the base material’s surface. Remove any
plaster leftovers so the sleeve equals the surface of the wall.
• Remove the cartridge cap, screw the nozzle onto the cartridge and then place the set into the gun. Pull
the trigger repeatedly until a homogeneous gray mixture of mortar comes out through the nozzle. Any
iridescent colours mean the mixture is not appropriate yet. Always discard the first two doses of mortar
from every cartridge, which are never to be used for any fixings.
Special indication for 170 ml and 300 ml cartridges: cut off the bag immediately after the seal clip.
