Cara Menulis News Item Text :

1. Tulislah inti berita di bagian awal dari naskah yang akan ditulis. Ini berguna untuk membuat pembaca
fokus dan ingin membaca lebih lanjut.Tuliskan isi berita dengan 5 W + 1 H. Maksudnya, beritanya tentang
apa, kapan, dimana, dan mengapa terjadi demikian. Tulislah prosesnya dengan detail.
2. Tuliskan narasumber berita. Bisa juga melalui saksi mata kejadian. Misalnya ada bencana kebakaran di
sebuah perkampungan, tuliskan wawancara dengan salah satu warga yang melihat awal mula kejadian
tersebut.
3. Setelah draft berita siap, mulailah mengembangkannya menjadi sebuah teks berbentuk news item.
4. Bagian akhir adalah editing. Naskah yang sudah dibuat perlu diperiksa kembali untuk
menghindari/meminimalkan kesalahan dalam penulisan. Setelah itu teks dapat ditulis kembali setelah
direvisi.
