Year 2015, I finished my degree at ULS, had my CPA license and had my first job year at
CGHMCI. I have been working as an internal auditor with CGHMCI for the past 3 years,
during this time I‘ve been providing incredible values to the institution more to the
management giving timely result of evaluations, reviews and analysis of the overall
transactions, financial and operational, in which gathered information and data are used
to develop judgments, strategies and recommendations used as a tool in decision making.
In addition to this, I have my MBA degree from Northeastern College.
Now I am looking forward to taking my career to the next level with SIMC and continue
to earn more value under the SIMC umbrella.
WEAKNESS:
“I tend to be a perfectionist and can linger on the details of an analysis which can threaten
deadlines. Early on in my career, I was working with the accountant, I was laboring over
the details and in turn, we almost missed the deadline of presentation. I learned the hard
way back then, but I did learn. Today I’m always aware of how what I’m doing affects my
team and management. I’ve learned how to find the balance between perfect and very
good and being timely.”
“I’ve always been a procrastinator. I used to think it wasn’t such a bad habit because I was
only creating stress for myself. Back then, I could see how my putting things off to the last
minute created stress for the team. It was a wake-up call. I started creating daily schedules
that hold me accountable to my team, and I broke the habit.”
I sometimes get nervous when speaking in front of a large crowd or a meeting, but I’m
trying to improve it by being in-charge in discussing family welfare program to new
employees of the institution where I am currently employed at.
I’ve been a bit too critical when giving feedback to others in the past and I’ve been told I
shouldn’t be so critical. I feel it has taught me more about the importance of compassion
and how positive feedback can be more useful than negative.
STRENGHTS:
I am a reliable worker.
I’m able to think logically and solve problems that require attention to the detail.
Exceptional leadership
Leadership, is the foundation on which effective communication, teamwork,
project management and other daily tasks are built upon; self-driven and who
can motivate others to move forward.
Analysis using spreadsheets and databases
These tools will assist me to combine disparate data, tackle problems and make
presentations to the management.
Understanding the concept of materiality
Come up with valid conclusions even when they don’t have all the information;
an educated gut feeling that tells you whether some information is relevant or
not; concept of cost vs. benefit.
Confident decision-making
Understand the risks and consequences that would result from any decision that
will have a great impact on the company, positive or negative; a proper research
to ensure all the relevant information beforehand, sure that the decision made
was the best for the firm or client.
