WATERTOWN — A Watertown man was arrested after an officer reported him driving
down Main Street without lights or passenger-side tires.
On Dec. 4, Tam Anh Le, 27, of 42 Rosedale Road, was arrested and charged with operating
a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol around 3 a.m.
According to police, an officer driving east on Main Street observed a car heading in the
opposite direction without its lights on and heard a “large sound” as the gray Toyota drove
past him.
The officer reportedly pulled up behind the vehicle and saw that both of the passenger-side
tires were missing and the car was being driven on the remaining rims. The officer then
stopped the car on Pleasant Street at Conant Road and reportedly identified the driver as Le.
The officer noticed both tires on the vehicle were worn out and damage had been done to
the front bumper and side of the car, which was also leaking fluids. According to police, Le
also smelled of alcohol and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of
alcohol.
