PREDICTIVE VALIDITY OF GRADE 7 INDEPENDENT READERS IN RELATION TO PROBLEM SOLVING IN


MATHEMATICS 7 OF SAN ISIDRO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SY 2016-2017

Objective:

The research is designed to determine the relationship of reading comprehension of grade 7


students in problem solving in Mathematics 7, A.Y 2016-2017.

Research Design and Statistical Treatment Used:

The research will utilize the qualitative design to collect the necessary data needed. In response
to the study’s statement of the problem, T- Test, Frequency percentage, and Weighted Mean will be
utilized.

Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations:

The research has just started

Research Limitations/ Implications:

This research will make a validated problem solving test questionnaire which consists of four
fundamental operations. Selected Grade 7 Independent Readers students will be used for this study to
know the relationship in Problem Solving in Mathematics 7.

Originality:

This research will make use of Test Questionnaire as area of focus to validate the relationship of
reading comprehension in problem solving.
