Mythic Style Hex Flower Chaos Emulator
Mythic Style Hex Flower Chaos Emulator
This engine is intended for use with the Mythic Game Master Emulator (MGME). It introduces a new way to track the Chaos Factor
(CF) and a different option for the YES / NO engine. This product is in no way endorsed or approved by MGME’s creators/owners.
1. At the very beginning, start in the central HEX of the below HEX Flower (HF), i.e. having a Chaos Factor of 5 (i.e. CF 5) and go
to Step 3. However, when progressing to a next scene, determine the new CF using Step 2.
2. Determine new CF - roll D6+D8 and move from current HEX to a new HEX in the indicated navigation direction, using the
appropriate navigation hex (i.e. left/blue navigation hex for decreasing chaos; right/red for increasing chaos). So, if in the
central HEX (CF 5), and the D6+D8 gives 8, and where chaos has increased from the last scene, then move to CF 7 (i.e. this is
the new Chaos Factor). If navigating off the HF, go to nearest HEX that has the same number as on that edge of the HF.

3. Roll a D10 and compare this to the current CF. If above, then proceed to a ‘Normal Scene’ (Step 4). If not, and the roll is an
even number then consult ‘Interrupt Scene’; If not, and the roll is an odd number then consult ‘Alter Scene’.
4. If the D6+D8 is a double (e.g. 1 and 1 or 4 and 4 etc.) and the repeated digit is less than the current HEX number (i.e. current
CF), then this also triggers a ‘Random Event’. Go to Step 5.
5. Ask a YES / NO question and cross reference the current CF with the probability column on the table below to get a target
number. Roll the indicated dice e.g. 3D8 for CF 4. If the rolled number is equal or less than the main (big) number the answer
is YES; if it is equal or below the superscript number then the answer is an Exceptional YES; if the rolled number is higher than
the main (big) number the answer is a NO; if higher than the subscript number then the answer is an Exceptional NO.
