Carding was done with the use of thorns, which were used to clean fibres such as flax. Then followed the use of metal nails mounted on leather pieces. Gradually the use mechanical means evolved and so did the material that was used for the carding process. At ICC, we find in nature «on amazing array of curves, peaks ond shapes that so very closely resemble the products we make. Observe closely and one finds a purpose to each of these shapes. Just ike our card clothing Fired with a vision to provide our customers with innovative products and services that bring down the unit cost of spinning yarn, ICC has concentrated on improving carding efficiency through research into tooth geometry, metallurgy and better means of toughening these products. 'Cut-o-point wires ond the use of latest steel alloys has cllowed us to manufacture wires with points as low as 2.0 mm height and the capacity to withstand high speed carding, The latest wires such as Maxus and Primus give far higher throughputs compared to conventional wires. We have also developed innovative products to enhance the carding process. Accura Carding Elements, Accura Beater Segment, Web Catcher, Sharprite Wire Resharpening Device and Sharprite Tops. The latest development Xtrac, improves the efficiency of newer generation super high production cards (Ours is one of the few companies in the world that manufactures both metallic wires ond flexible card clothing for every make of carding machine in the world conventional to super high-production. Our range includes products for processing all kinds of fibres both natural and man-made. ICC has been the backbone of the te» capacities for manufacturing of card clothing. Though we have been more than 50 spinning industry with one of the world’s largest yeors in this field, we sill look to learn about newer possi Cylinder wires are the mainstay ofthe carding process, doing the bulk of the work. Modem cards ‘ore clothed with very fine wire points and a card could have as many os 12 million wire points! Good cording requires all hese wire points to be of exact size, height and strength. ICC manufactures a wide range of metallic cylinder wires for different needs. Use of high grade raw molerials, precision engineering and established tooth geometry combine to give wires Tenace Series : Mode from long life alloy steel fr strength and wear resistance, Tenace wires ‘re aveilable in height options of 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm. Tenace series wires undergo an cedvonced heat treatment process, which ensures an even and consistent hardness. Besides they have special tooth geometry with low tooth depth. c Stylus Series : Siylus cylinder wires are made from high carbon steel to provide o that are tough, wear-resistant and economical costeffectve option for high speed cords. ff Primus Series: Suitable for high production rotes. rimus is manufactured with high grode ‘micro alloy steel. Standard design of Accura Carding System is available forall cards, under Lickerin (XLZ), above lickerin (XBZ) and above doffer Fz). ‘Accura XLZ - For the Lickerin Zone: ‘Acura XLZ Carding System opens fibre tufts as they enter the cording machine. Itis supplied os © single unit of two or more Carding Elements and two mote knives with side support and lickerin undercasing. The first mote knife removes heavy trash particles from the fibre tufts, while the Cording Elements facilitate intensive opening ofthe fibre tuft. The second mote knife removes finer trash particles before the fibres are passed on to the cylinder. This improves the cleaning efficiency of the card, ACCURA IZ Accura XBZ - For the Back Zone: ‘Acura XBZ Carding System helps control the movement of the fibres through the carding machine. It consists of 2 or 3 Accura Carding Elements wth or without mote knives, depending fon the space ovoilable. ICC con also supply extended back zone with 9 to 12 carding elements ‘The XBZ System further opens the fibre before they reach the carding zone, thereby reducing the stress on the cylinder wire ond revolving flat tops. Itassists in reducing thick places in the carded sliver and allows the use of higher density cylinder wire and ft tops, thus improving cording auality ot higher speeds. ACCURA XBZ SSS ‘Accura XFZ - For the Front Zone: The Accura XFZ Carding System consiss of upto 7 carding elements with one or hvo mote knives installed above the doffer. It offers greater control ofthe fibres, assists in moking the fibres more parallel and improves yarn quality The XFZ extracts rash ond short fibres, reduces neps and imperfections in the web, making the transfer of fibre to the doffer easier.
