The Mohammed Haji Saboo Siddik Institute Of Engineering and
Technology (A Muslim Minority Institution) owes its existence to the
munificence of late Mohammed, son of Haji Saboo Siddik, who bequeathed
a large sum of money for establishing, conducting and managing this
Institution for imparting vocational, Technical and Industrial Training and
Education. The value of the assets, so bequeathed, exceeded Rupees Three
Crore at the time of donation.

in Engineering affiliated to the University of Mumbai namely, Construction, Production and Industrial

The Degree Course in Industrial Engineering was closed and Degree Course in Electronics

statement of marks at the qualifyingexaminationwillberetainedbythecollegeauthorityeffectingfromthedate of
admission.

6. MODEOFPAYMENTOFFEES
Thecandidate,whohasbeenofferedaseatinthecollegeshallpaytheprescribedfeesintheformofDemandDraft/Pay
Order/Banker'sChequeofanyScheduledBank.Noothermodeofpaymentshallbepermitted.DemandDraft/PayOrder/

7.2UNIVERSITYFEES:
ThecandidatesshallberequiredtopayfeesasprescribedbytheMumbaiUniversityfromtimetotime.

7.3CAUTIONMONEY:
Cautionmoneydepositsreceivedfromthestudentsshallberefundedaftersuccessfulcompletionofthecourseor
after cancelling the admission.Unlessthere isany recovery, nodeductionshallbemadefromthecaution money
deposit.However,theamountofcautionmoneydepositshallbetransferredtoStudentsAidFund,ifacandidatedoes
not apply for refund  within 3 complete financial years after the studentactuallyleavestheInstitutionorwithin3
completefinancialyearsafterthedateofsuccessfulcompletionofthecourse,whicheverisearlier.

7.4CANCELLATIONOFADMISSION:
The candidate should have taken admission by paying necessary tuition fee andshouldhavesubmittedoriginal
certificatesbeforehe/sheappliesforcancellation.Incasecandidatefailstosubmitanyoftheoriginaldocumentswithin

7.6 ISSUEOFCOLLEGELEAVINGCERTIFICATE:
If,duringthecourseofstudies,acandidatedesirestodiscontinuestudiesforanyreasonwhatsoever,heorsheshallbeallowedto
dosoanditshallbepresumedthatheorshehascancelledadmissionatthatstage.ThePrincipalshallissueCollegeLeaving
CertificateandfeesshallberefundedaspertherulesmadeapplicablebytheAICTEand/orDTEand/oranyCompetentAuthority.

8.MISCELLANEOUS:

9.4 Actionagainstragging:
MaharashtraProhibitionofRaggingAct1999whichisineffectfrom15thMay,1999hasthefollowingprovisionsforAction
againstRagging.

(a)Raggingwithinoroutsideofanyeducationalinstitutionisprohibited.

(b)Whosoeverdirectlyorindirectlycommits,participatesin,abetsorpropagatesraggingwithinoroutsideanyeducational
institutionshall,onconviction,bepunishedwith imprisonmentforatermuptotwoyearsand/orpenaltywhichmay
extendtoINR.10,000/-

(c)Anystudentconvictedofanoffenceofraggingshallbedismissedfromtheeducationalinstitutionandsuchstudentshall
notbeadmittedinanyothereducationalinstitutionforaperiodoffiveyearsfromthedateoforderofsuchdismissal.

(d)Wheneveranystudentorasthecasemaybetheparentorguardianorateacherofaneducationalinstitutioncomplains,
  inwritingofraggingtotheheadoftheeducationalinstitution,theheadoftheeducationalinstitutionshall,without
prejudice to the foregoing provisions, within seven days of the receipt of the complaint, enquire into the matter
mentionedinthecomplaintandif,primafacie,itisfoundtrue,shallsuspendthestudentwhoisaccusedoftheoffenceand
shall,immediatelyforwardthecomplainttothepolicestationhavingjurisdictionovertheareainwhichtheeducational

isnosubstanceprimafacieinthecomplaintreceived,he/sheshallintimatethefactinwritingtothecomplainant.The
decisionoftheheadoftheeducationalinstitutionshallbefinal.

(e)Iftheheadoftheeducationalinstitutionfailsorneglectstoactinthemannerspecifiedinsection'd'abovewhena
complaintofraggingismade,suchpersonshallbedeemedtohaveabettedtheoffenceandshall,onconviction,be
punishedasprovidedforinsection'b'above.

(f)AnyActsoritsamendmentswhichmaybepublishedfromtimetotimeorJudgmentsbyHon.Courtsof Indiawillbe
applicabletocandidatesandinstitutescoveredundertheserulesofadmission.

A candidate must be medically fit to undergo the professional course applied for. The medical fitness must be
certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed proforma, as given below on a Letterhead :

He/she has not given any personal history of any disease incapacitating him/her to undergo the
