 FORUM ACTIVITY OBSERVATIONS
Delivery of comments, opinions, and information:

PUNCTUATION
Begin a phrase with capital letter. Avoid full capitalization of ideas.
Some nouns like names, nationalities or important words.
Ideas in English are usually short. Use commas, semicolon, periods or full stops.

WORD CHOICE
Be careful with “false” cognates (lecture, respect etc). Verify in the dictionary. Correct use of
pronouns(he, she, we, they, you), possessive adjectives (his, her, its, our, their)-el uso incorrecto de
estas palabras afecta la coherencia de lo que quieren decir*

OTHER COMMENTS
In the fórums, it’s not necessary to create new threads to reply to a classmate.
Always reply to partners when they ask a question.
Be more precise when commenting other person’s post. Avoid shallow meaningless or too simple
comments.
Sending attachments in forums is not appropriate.
NO SPANGLISH. Either use English or Spanish to post or reply.

 “Hi, Nancy. I see your point and I also can say…”
 “That’s right Sebastian….let’s remember that… or
I’d like to complement your ideas by saying that
this person ……..”
 “Thanks for your opinion/comment, but I don’t
