BUDGET PROPOSAL
HIRING OF JOB ORDER I.T. TECHNICIAN

I. RATIONALE:
The pace of change brought about by new technologies has a significant effect
on the way people live, work, and play worldwide. Easy worldwide communication
provides instant access to a vast array of data, challenging assimilation and
assessment skills. Rapid communication, plus increased access to IT in the home,
at work, and in educational establishments, could mean that learning becomes a
truly lifelong activity—an activity in which the pace of technological change forces
constant evaluation of the learning process itself.

The integration of Information Technology in teaching is a central matter in

ensuring quality in the educational system. There are two equally important reasons
for integrating information technology in teaching. Pupils become familiar with the
use of information technology and information technology is used in teaching in
order to improve the quality of learning.

The Division of Bukidnon is intensifying the integration of the ICT across the
curriculum both in Elementary and Secondary schools. To date, there are five
hundred thirty eight (538) elementary and secondary schools who are recipients of
the e-classroom packages. Of the 538 recipient schools, 60% of the school heads
reported that their e-classroom is fully functional and is properly integrated in the
curriculum; 30% have reported that some of the units are non-functional; and 10%
of the schools have reported that their e-classroom package is not functional and
needs the technical assistance from the Division Office and/or supplier, if unit is
under warranty.
