Atol de Elote y Yuca Frita in SP
In Santa Ana and in all El Salvador we can taste the Atoll of elote, a delicious
drink that is a symbol of the Salvadoran tradition.
There is even a song that tells how it is prepared by "moving the Atoll of
Elote"
Elote´s Atoll is prepared with 4 ingredients: Milk. Corn, cinnamon and sugar.
First the corn kernels are ground and then they are strained and then boiled
with the milk and added sugar to taste.
We can also put some grains on the glass to decorate with the cinnamon and
served hot. We can also add a delicious boiled corn and a spoon.
This is an easy Salvadorean recipe that comes from our grandparents and is a
symbol of our culture.
Rallar repollo, zanahoria, cebolla y chile verde, colocarlos en agua hirviendo y dejarlos
reposar unos minutos.Se sirve caliente con pepescas o chicharrones.
