SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN PHYSICAL SCIENCE

DATE: November 06, 2018

Time: 7:20-8:20/ 9:30-10:30

I. OBJECTIVES:
A. LEARNING COMPETENCY:

 give evidence for and explain the formation of the light

elements in the Big Bang theory/ S11/12PS-IIIa-1
II. CONTENT:
 Big bang Theory
III. LEARNING RESOURCES:
A. REFERENCES
 www. Slideshare.net
B. OTHER LEARNING RESOURCES
Powerpoint presentation, pictures
IV. PROCEDURES:
A. Establishing a purpose for the lesson
Showing a Picture to the Students. The students will give
their opinion relating to the picture?

Guide Question:
-Which of the two comes first in the universe
B. Activity:

Teacher will show a pictures of the timeline after big bang and
pieces of evidences of the bug bang theory. Students will guess
where the picture belong and post it on the black board.

Violent explosion Quasars

Radioactive Decay Ist star and Galaxies

Stellar formation and Evolution Solar system forms

Paste the picture in the column below.

Timeline of Big bang Pieces of Evidences

C. Analysis:

Guide Questions:

How does Big Bang theory help in the formation of lights

elements?
What are the elements formed durimg the Big Bang
Theory?
What are the evidences of the big bang theory presented?
Explain each.
Does Big Bang theory help you better understand the
beginning of the universe and the first elements formed?
D. Abstraction:
Give evidence that best explain the formation of light
elements in the big bang theory.
E. Application:

In your community:

Ask some elder people in the community/ locality about their

belief on the formation of the universe. (if you don’t have the
same beliefs) As a student what will you do to convince them
change their belief and support the scientific claims on the
formation of Big Bang Theory.

F. Evaluation:
Answer the following question. Write your answer before the nu,ber.
____________1. super large (solar system size) galactic cores that put
out more light than whole galaxies.
____________2. observed the majority of galaxies are moving away
from us and each other.
____________3. gives us the age of items from the decay of radioactive
materials found within the object.
_____________4. A point in space and/or a moment in time where the
universe was infinitely hot and dense.
_____________5. The displacement of spectral lines toward longer
wavelengths (the red end of the spectrum) in radiation from
distant galaxies and celestial objects.

G. Assignment:
Guide Question:
give evidence for and describe the formation of
heavier elements during star formation and
evolution.
Physical Science Learners Materials, pp 7-9

V. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned 80% on the formative assessment :

B. B. No. of learners who require additional activities for
remediation: ________________
C. Did the remedial lessons work?________ No. of learners have
caught up with the lesson: ______________
D. . No. of learners who continue to require remediation:
