WORK IMMERSION NARRATIVE REPORT
In our first day of immersion we are very excited to what will happen in our
immersion first we get out DTR Card because our immersion teacher will
sign it before we go to CBT because that will our immersion will be
conducted. The guest speaker is Mr. Israel R. Lapada, CPA he is a faculty
member in Manila Central University the first thing we do is to get a buddy
system, and he introduce what will he discussing so the first discussion is
about the Introduction of Accounting before we start the discussion he said
WEEK 1 that we need to clear are minds with the negativity so he said that we need to
say whatever negativity in us to our partner and likewise and after that the
wins which is the positive vibes, next is the reflection of ourselves first I

thought it was a recollection because the things that he said is all about
reflection but then he explained that we need to do that to be able to know
what we want to be we need to clear our minds and to make decisions for
ourselves. Also he said that the accountancy profession is very is because it
is just an addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but the thing that
accounting makes it hard is the procedure but that procedure can make you
to be a successful person. Being an accountant have many opportunities like

because as you work on different company you will learn different kinds of

On the second day of our immersion we divided in to two the first one is the
accounting & tax and second one is the finance and management. I choose
in accounting and tax because I will pursue my dream to be an accountant
and also to have more knowledge in accountancy. At first Mr. Romeo Ginez
discuss us about the Accountancy, The History of Accountancy, Form of
WEEK 1 Business and many more. When it comes in teaching he is so boring when
he is discussing, but you will learn a lot he gave us an activity about the
Day 2 bookkeepping and it is very easy because he guide us and also we take that
topic when we are in Grade 11 so it is easy for us to answer it also he gave
us an assignment and at first we didn`t know how to answer because we
forgot it but when Mr. Ferrer our second speaker teach us we remember it
and it is easy for us to answer. Mr. Ferrer our second speaker is very good
when it comes in teaching he is top 18 in board exam and he gain 300, 000
per month. He teach us how the accountancy will work like the topics when
we took accountancy in college and also on how to pass in accountancy
course. He didn`t focus on the taxation because he said that is not our focus

very much I learned new thing from him and also I want to be like him that a

On our third day of immersion we merge again because our speaker is

absent so our speaker for today is Mr. Israel Lapada, he discussed us about
the Basic Financing and Budgeting as a student. He explained the commonly
useful of budgeting a money as a student and when you are a young
professional but for me as a student it depends on how we budget our money
because we have different lifestyle. But after that we play coin battle whoever
WEEK 1 win the bato-bato pick challenge gets the price we play that kind of challenge
because he wants us to know what our intention and that is to win the bato-
bato pick when your intention is good you will get the price he said After that
Day 3 he gave us some tips on how other students and young professionals budget
their money. On the second speaker Mr. Ferrer he introduced to us his
students from 2nd year college of accountancy he mentioned that if you want
to you will get it, yes it is hard to be an accountant but once you surpass that
you will end up like him. His students mentioned to us the temperament of
Mr. Ferrer when it comes in teaching also they mentioned the life of being an
accountant, it is very stressful but in the end you will have a great work or a

On the fourth day of our immersion we merged again with the finance and
management becauae Mr. Israel Lapada is absent because he is sick. Ms. Lea
Aquino is the first speaker she discussed a career in business administration, after
she start her discussion she tells us her credentials and her story when she is
taking up accountancy but unfortunately he didn`t pass the accountancy program
WEEK 1 but she pursue her dreams in marketing. She give us an advice that to don`t push
yourself if it is not in you. Choose want you want not the others. After that she
Day 4 discussed about the logistic management we watched different kind of process like
kotse,mcdo, warehouse and etc. she said that you need to be in process and be
organized in order to achieve your goal, every companies have an operation
manager so that they will know if the company is organized and have a better
production. The second speaker is Mr. Romeo Ginez he teach us on how to
operate an online excel he suggest us to use that because when we work we don`t
gonna use a worksheet because as time goes by accounting system change and
also it will help us to make it easy for us to use. He introduces to use the Cloud
Accounting an online worksheet through that online accounting you can work
together even you are in different place.I t is easy for us to work because we can

accountant.He also gives as tips in becoming a CPA.

For our 5th day of immersion all of the ABM has a seminar in Tanchoco Auditorium. Before
we start our program Mr. Sagun our ABM Coordinator have an inspirational message for us
and after that he introduce our first speaker which is Ms. Maryann Bigtas she discussed
about the corporate culture and the entrepreneurship. She discussed the characteristics of
a good entrepreneur first is the ambition you must have desire in what you are doing.
Second is the creativity is you need to be creative and think something new and be unique.
Third is the Courage and Risk Taking you have to be a risk taker as an entrepreneur you
need to take all of the risk to have a good and better business. Fourth is the perseverance
WEEK 1 you need to try and try until you succeed if you fail don't give up. Fifth is the ability to listen,
always listen to your customers or consumers suggestion because they are your consumers
they ate the one who buys your products. Lasty,is the willingness to learn, being a
Day 5 businesswomen or entrepreneur you need to be updated in the changes in our country like
for example the Nokia phone they have been bankrupt because they didn1t follow the trend
in our country. Also he teach us how to start a small business in the Philippines. Also she
said that you need to explore to gain some money there are many ways to gain some
money like online selling, personal selling, online English tutor, blogger or vlogger, and etc.
The second speaker is Ms. Aurabelle Banayad she teach us the Financial Freedom before
she start the discussion she let us hear the poorman's grave song by Eraserhead and price
tag by Jessie J she let us find out what is the message of the song and for me the message
of the song is you can be happy even if you don`t have enough money, your happiness

physically but mentally. And lastly she test our personality test about how our minds works if

In our last day of immersion our advisers require us to dress a corporate

attire so that we can feel the vibe if being an employee they said. The
speaker today is Ms. Lea A. Aquino again she is the speaker last seminar
and she discussed what she discussed when we are in CBT but more
WEEK 2 specific like she tells us about her life and being a Logistic and Operation
Manager. Also she tells us her past students and their achievement in life
Day 6 that she is very proud on what they have now. The second speaker is Mr.
Eduard she is the owner of The Great Wall of Donut he is very inspiring
because when he start his business he only have 1 frame 1 lights and 1 wall
and then when his business click to the consumers he expand his business
also when he is starting a business, the great wall of donut featured in swak
na swak in that video he tells how his business start. He want that his
business is for any events, for any ages and any gender so he think that
kind of business He said also that try to be creative try to think out of the

am- 12:00 pm will see what kind of business are for you. After that our Senior High School
Coordinator give us a closing remarks, he said that we need to see the
quality of education that we will be applying for.
