THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND E

Introduction T
The people nowadays had experinced Verbal bullying, It’s a bad

habit among everyone. Especially from the students who experienced

this kind of bullying, this can causes them to be distract at their

academic performance, and the confidence to face everyone from their

surroundings, If we don’t mind others business, this can be a big help to

everyone.

Besides that bullying is a midspread problem, It is also very costly

especially because not only suffers, but also those who cause bullying

suffers negative consequences throughout life (Sarzosa and Urzna,

2015).

Being bullied is not a good feeling. People of all agaes are bullied,

perhaps you’re an adult being harassed by someone on the job, or

maybe you’re a teen being talked down to at school (Griffin, 2020).

On the other hand, The amount of bullying on academic is limited

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

As the present study aims at G

Foreign Literature
D
Verbal bullying is the most common type of violence in schools. It E

is equally present among boys and girls (Dalhevic, 2014). A
R
T
Bullying is something that affects far too, many children and adults M
E
in our society, and it desperately needs to be addressed N
T
(Cochimiglio, 2019)
According to Pietrangelo (2018). One of the main issue of types

Verbal bullying that student expirienc are name-calling, wetheer it’s

a romantic relationship a parent-child relationship, or the bully of

the playground.

Verbal abuse occurs when someone repeatedly uses negative or

demeaning words to gain or maintain power and control over

someone else (Kellie, 2020).

What do you think of when you hear thr word ‘abuse’? If you’re like

the most people, you instantly think of physical abuse. However,

that’s the only type of abuse, and the other types, such as verbal

abuse, can be just as damaging. Because there is a lack of

awareness around verbal abuse, some people are living in a

relationship with it and don’t even know it (Kirby, 2020).

Abusers typically feel very powerless which cause them to grasp for

power and control by blaming and shaming others (Fraga, 2018). G
L
Verbal abuse can be difficult to identify and regrettably also can be I

a common type of abuse in some expirence. Not all words that are

meant to hurt are ‘ugly words’ (Mayer, 2019). E

and can lead to harm because it is designed to humiliate, degrade, M
E
and intinmidate a partner or family member (Les and Lincoln, N

2017).
Verbal abuse: Whoever coined the saying, was mistaken. In reality,

broken bones will mend, and bruises will fade, but a person with a

broken and bruised spirit will likely carry those wounds of many

years (Yellowadmin, 2016).

Verbal abuse is subtitle, insidious, and extremely painful, but there

are easy ways to respond if you can properly identify when it is

happening (Smith, 2018).

Verbal abuse in itself may not involve physical contact, but it can

still cause emotional or psychological harm anf progress toward

violence (Gordon, 2020)

Verbal abuse is the only type of abuse that can affect every single

person with any type of communication ability or understanding

(Kellie, 2020)

Verbal abuse can be difficult to recognize, and effects of it are often

less obvious than physical abuse (Kirby, 2020) G

Local Literature

It’s school openning time again, the issue of bullying is cropping up

anew. Bullied students and their parents us well need nit to be

helpless (Arayat, 2018).

Verbal abuse is the most prevalent from of violence expririenced by

children at all school levels (Saguisag, 2010).

Children experience violence both from their peers in school and

from school personnel (Saguisag, 2010).

For so long people have been put down because of our proceived

inferiority. We are victims in the sense that we are prove to

bullying (Evaristo, 2013).

That’s because we teel that one of the best ways to reach the youth

is through education. Teach for the Philippines will help us with an

Theoretical Framework N

This study will be based on the research of Gordon (2020), Most

people assume that if they were being verbally abused they would know

about it. After all, verbal abuse often use yelling, put-downs, name-

calling, and belittle behaviors. But there is so much more to verbally

abusethan people realize. In fact, some people are verbally abused on a

regular basis without even recognizing that It’s happening.

On the other hand Kirby (2020), Verbal abuse can be difficult to

recognize, and effects of it are often less obvious than physical abuse.

Conceptual Framework/Research Paradigm
