I try to plan learning activities that are engaging and relevant for students and the learning
objectives. I regularly allow student choice in many activities, most often in writing,
because I want to encourage my students to ask questions and make connections that are
relevant to them and their own lives. Music has also been very helpful in math because
students can utilize the songs to assist them with multiplication facts, as well as shape
attributes.
