everyone daily. In his article, Steven Pinker justifies swearing. I support his ideas, and I would
that it helps us in becoming more expressive, and t can help with pain relief and tasks life gym
sessions. I agree with this, as sometimes I use cursing words when in pain or fatigued by
workout. That gives me relief and makes me more expressive. Second, he adds that there are five
different ways in which people swear; idiomatically, descriptively, abusively, cathartically, and
emphatically. One’s way of swearing depends on their personality, language, and the message
they want to communicate. I have also noticed that I swear differently, depending on the situation
and message to purpose. Finally, Stevens rightly notes that people around the world swear in
different ways. The anger vocabulary used in one country may not be applicable in another. The
changes are due to anger levels and management, tone variation, language, and cultural values. I
come from a culture where people use strong language and high volume in swearing; this is
to the audience, such as how political leaders curse when making presentations. He also adds that
cursing words cannot just be dismissed, as swearing is hilarious, uncannily descriptive, and
poignant when used judiciously. It reveals our emotions and engages the full extent of our brain.
