Abstract

Dengue fever is a disease that threatens and disturbs people because it cause the patient die in a few
days various of effort have been done by the government, started from the termination of the
disease transmission vector, mosquito larva eradication, fogging, larvacida providing and counselling
about healthy to the population. This study aims to improve the cognitive and affective abilities of
the population in eradicating mosquito larva which cause dengue fever. The purpose of this study is
to find out whether the development of participatory education methods can make the community
active to eradicate the mosquito that causes dengue. The nature of this research is field survey
research, data collected through focus group discussions (FGD) and glance observation. The research
location is Tegalgiri dukuh and Grinting District Nogosari Boyolali District. result: seen that location
was collected grinting house number examined 43 mosquito larvae 16 percentage 62,79%, In hamlet
tegalgiri rt 02 rw 04 house number 38 there larvae 6 with percentage 84.2% , In hamlet tegalgiri rt 03
rw 04 house number 36 houses there larvae 9 percentage 75%,in hamlet tegalgiri rt 04 rw 04 number
of houses 46 existing jenitk 11 percentage 76%, in hamlet tegalgiri rt 05 rw 04 number of houses 38
larvae 17 percentage 87.7%.
