Form 1099-MISC for the 2019 Dividend

Permanent Fund Dividends are Taxable!
Important Federal Tax Information
Keep this letter for your tax records. This is important tax information and is being furnished to the Internal Revenue Service. If you
fail to report the PFD on your Federal income tax return, a negligence penalty or other sanction may be imposed . Report the entire
amount of the PFD on IRS form 1040 on the line for “OTHER INCOME” even if a creditor claimed some or all of your
dividend. If you are otherwise eligible to file the forms 1040A or 1040EZ, you may report this amount on the line for “Unemployment
compensation and Alaska Permanent Fund Dividends” (see instructions for those forms at www.irs.gov). Income is reportable in the
tax year it was issued. If you have received a 2019 Dividend after 12/31/2019, it is no longer a 2019 tax liability and is reportable on
your 2020 taxes.

Federal Backup Withholding

Federal law requires the Department of Revenue to withhold 24% of your PFD if you did not give us a valid Social Security Number,
and if the amount of the PFD is $600 or more. This rate is subject to change effective 1/1/2020. If taxes were withheld from your
PFD, you must report the withheld amount on IRS form 1040 on the line for “FEDERAL TAX WITHHELD”.

l sentenced as a result of a felony conviction; or
l incarcerated as a result of a felony conviction; or
