 CONTEXTUALIZATION
-The UAAP Board has decided
to postpone all sports events
starting Saturday, February
15

- the opening of the anticipated

volleyball tournament will be
moved to a later date.

"The UAAP will be closely monitoring the country’s

situation in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak"
(Escarlote,2020).
Affected events are the ongoing high school beach volleyball playoffs, high
school basketball (girls’ elims, boys’ semis) and the opening of football,
softball, baseball, athletics, judo and the centerpiece second semester sport
volleybal
STAND...

I agree with the

decision of
postponing all
events due to the
virus because...
 BECAUSE
- We must prioritize the safety of League’s
community – players, coaches, students,
their families and fans in general.

- DOH
to 'avoid attending, participating in, and
organizing events that draw a huge number
of attendees'.
SYNTHESIS

Postponing these events will

reduce the risk of spreading
virus due to possible large
crowds and is also prioritizing
the well-being and safety of the
players and fans in light of the
outbreak.
