make decision. If the parent are so restrictive
and limiting the child develop shame and
doubt. Third stage the child starts to regularly
interact with other children. Developing a sense
of responsibility increases initiative. Fourth
stage encouraging these individuals and
reinforcing them for their initiatives make them
confident and industrious. Fifth stage the
individual begins to look to the future. If
limiting parents push certain identity to the
adolescent then there is role confusion. Sixth
stage where one shares one’s self more
intimately with others. Avoiding intimacy, on
the other hand , can lead to isolation and
loneliness. Seventh stage established career,
family relationship and greater productivity,
Failure of this stage results stagnation. Eighth
stage is a retiree one contemplates and looks
into what was accomplished which leads to
sense of integrity. Failure to do leads to doubts
and despair.
