BANANA BLOSSOM OR
BANANA HEART
The banana flower is a large, dark purple-red blossom that grows from the end of a bunch of
bananas. Its sizable bracts, or leaves, snugly enclose delicate, sweetly scented male flowers. The
female flowers, which do not require fertilization to become fruit, grow farther up the stem from
the male flowers.

The banana flower is treated in several Asian and tropical cuisines as a

vegetable. The banana flower is treated Asian and tropical cuisines as a vegetable. It is
known in Japan as  banana no tsubomi,  in Thailand as  dok kluai,  in Indonesia as
jantung pisang,  in China as shang chao fua, in Sri Lanka as  kehel mal,  and in India as
kere kafool.  These terms are variously translated as “banana blossom “ or “banana heart”
due to the flower's physical resemblance to that organ or “plantain blossom”.

Banana flowers are considered to be a good source of vitamins A and C. It is

traditionally believed to be beneficial as a lactating agent, and is also believed to help
relieve painful menstruation.

HAMBURGER
A hamburger (also called a beef burger, hamburger sandwich, burger, hamburg, or
cheeseburger when served with a slice of cheese) is a sandwich consisting of one or
more cooked patties of ground meat, usually beef, placed inside a sliced bread roll or
bun. Hamburgers may be cooked in a variety of ways, including pan-fring, barbecing,
and frame-broiling. Hamburgers are often served with cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon,
onion, pickles, and condiments such as mustards, mayonaise, ketchup, relish and chiles.

The term “burger” can also be applied to the meat patty on its own, especially in
the UK where the term “patty” is rarely used. The term may be prefixed with the type
of meat or meat substitute used, as in “turkey burger”, or “veggie burger”.
Hamburgers are sold at fast-food restaurants, diners, and specialty and high-end
restaurants (where burgers may sell for several times the cost of fast-food burger). There
are many international and regional variations of the hamburger.

There have been many claims about the origin of the hamburger. There is a reference to
a “hamburg steak” as early as 1884 in the Boston Journal. On July 5, 1896 the Chicago
Daily Tribune made a highly specific claim regarding a “hamburger sandwich” in an
article about a “Sandwich Car”. A distinguished favorite, only five cents, is Hamburger
steak sandwich, the meat for which is kept ready in small patties and cooked while you
wait on the gasoline range.”

According to congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, the hamburger, a ground meat patty

between two slices of bread, was first created in America in 1900 by Louis Lassen, a
Danish immigrant, owner of Louis’Lunch in New Haven, Connecticut. There have been
rival claims by Charlie Nagreen, Frank and Charles Menches, oscar weber Bilby, and
Fletcher David. White Castle traces the origin of the hamburger to Hamburg, Germany
with its invention by Otto Kause. However, it Gained national recognition at the 1904
St. Louis World’s Fair when the New York Tribune reffered to the hamburger as “the
innovation of a food vendor on the pike”.

No conclusive argument has ever ended the dispute over invention. An article
from ABC News sums up: "One problem is that there is little written history. Another
issue is that the spread of the burger happened largely at the World's Fair, from tiny
vendors that came and went in an instant. And it is entirely possible that more than one
person came up with the idea at the same time in different parts of the country."
Reason
We make this product to come up with an innovative way that will determine on
the effectiveness of banana heart as a new ingredient to the typical meat. The aim is
also to utilize the common banana heart so that it will not be placed into waste.
Also, this aims to make a different and simple preparation right in one’s home aside
from the usual products, which currently dominate the markets. It is a practical money-
saver to the budget and at the same time a naturally healty way to enjoy an a typical
meal. We decided to create an alternative meat

because in order to use other possible materials that are rarely used or possibly,
never used, to find a more efficient material other than the introduced product, and to
make new products that could benefit the community. Banana hert is rich on vitamins A
and E, whereas it was also discovered a possible alternative for meat due to its
capability of being a substitute for meat related food such as hamburgers.
