Dear Anneke
It was a real sorrow that I heard this morning of your great loss. I knew your father was ill, for your
brother told me several weeks ago. However, as he at that time did not seem to think the illness was
very serious, the news of your father’s death came to me as a shock. You have my sincere and heartfelt
sympathy, my dear fellow, in your sorrow. I know you will feel it deeply, for you always thought so much
of your father and loved him tenderly. I feel it also as a personal loss to myself, for your father was
always very kind to me. His death must be a terrible grief to your mother, too. Please assure her of my
sincere sympathy.
“There are no words. While you have joy knowing where your love is in a better place, there is sadness in
the loss and grief”. You are in our prayers. (Catherine Pulsifer). However, it is not just a lip service when
I say that I feel with you in your sorrow. Just come to me whenever you need me.

According to his plan he mixed water in his milk and sold it to the villagers. To his surprise his sales
had increased. He was jumping with joy! Money was rolling in like no one could imagine.
One day he took his bag full of money and went skipping on home. It was the summer and the heat

cool breeze within a few minutes he was sound sleep.
There was a monkey who lives on that tree. The monkey hadn’t eaten since morning and he was

dairyman’s head, immediately he woke up.

Studying abroad is the best way to improve ourselves. As you know, there are obvious advantages to
study abroad. Firstly, we have chance to improve our language. I think nothing is better than to learn
language with the native speakers. While we live abroad we can practice speaking with the local people
and ask what we study at school, so it is very useful to improve our listening and speaking skills. It also
offers chances to discover the new cultures, way of thinking, history, custom and lifestyles.
Furthermore, we have opportunities to study the new technologies and most recent science
achievements. In addition, we are equipped with the valuable and updated knowledge which may help us
find jobs easily after graduating.
However, studying abroad is often expensive. We have to pay not only for our school fees but also for
our living cost. Therefore, finance may become the biggest problem. Consequently, it distracts our mind
from studying to earning money.
Last but not least, adapting to a new environment is e real challenge for every foreign student. While
changing the weather can affect our health, different cultures and customs may influence our mind and
make us become less confident or even a victim of discrimination. Every day may turn into a struggle for
survival in a strange country. If we don’t have enough physical and mental strength, we will fail to adjust
ourselves in the new environment. As a result, we could neither study nor gain beautiful experiences as
we have expected.
In conclusion, while studying abroad offers great opportunities for a better future, It also has challenges
that we must try our best to overcome what happened to make our dream come true. Therefore, if you
have a chance I think you should take that chance to study abroad.

A. To discuss about living abroad.
