Honored with the young player of the year award for my local GAA club.
All Ireland Senior Post Primary Cross-Country Gold Medal 2014
Two years out of age and still to this date the only team, to ever win the event from the province of
Connaught.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
St Gerald’s College Castlebar 2019- 2020
In my Final School placement, I excelled at the teaching and balancing the number of classes that is
expected of a fulltime teacher. I had numerous classes at both junior and senior cycle covering all subjects
associated with my degree. Not only was the timetable closer to the full time house expected of a teacher
but I cover many classes throughout the placement which additionally helped me gain the experience I
the teaching mythologies and strategies to maximise the full learning experience for all students.
Colaiste Acla 2018-2019
I complete my year 3 school placement in the DIES school for a period of 8 weeks.
I had 15 hours of teaching in the school and also helped out in a number of extracurricular activities
including school Christmas play, fundraisers throughout the placement and coaching the 1 st year football
GAA team.
Rice College Westport 2017-2018
I complete my second stent of school placement in rice college where I developed my teaching skills.
Throughout my placement, I worked alongside the upmost professional teachers in both independent
teaching and team teaching. I was lucky enough to also be given opportunity to teach classes that were
out of my subjects such as CSPE, SPHE and religion as a substitute teacher when the class became
available. At the end of the year I became the scriber and reader for the junior and leaving cert
examination for a number of students which has benefited me in gaining experience in the examination
structure on the day of the exams as an educator and not the student.

students along with myself had to give a presentation on a teaching strategy, methodology or
resource that we found was useful yet innovative and creative while on our placement.
