short review. Last meeting we have discussed about the Ma’am, Cohesion is the flow of sentences and paragraphs
Cohesion and Coherence. What is Cohesion? from one to another. Tying together the old and new
information.

What is repetition of key terms? It is the action of repeating something that has already
been said or written.

What is Synonym? Words having the same or nearly the same meaning.

What is pronoun? Substitutes the noun in a sentence.

What are transitional words? It shows relationship between ideas. Also called
connectors.

This morning we are going to tackle Literary Devices.

What is the use of Literary Devices? Literary devices are refers to the typical structures used
by writers in their works to convey his/her messages in a
simple manner to the reader.

Alliteration: The repetition of an initial consonant Examples:

Each group will identify the literary devices that are
used in the stanza.
