INTRODUCTION
One of the main problems in Honorato C.
Perez Sr. Memorial Science High School is
waste management. The school has been
struggling to maintain its cleanliness at all
times. There may be projects implemented
before, but it was only practiced for a short
time. Meaning, the effectiveness of these
projects were only observed for the first 3
months or less.
That’s why we are proposing the “The
Green Box Project”. This project is about
effective waste management and recycling
not only to maintain the cleanliness of every
classroom but also to teach students the
proper way of recycling garbage
(specifically plastic bottles). We will ensure
that this project will be more effective and
will be implemented longer.
Mission
To reduce things that have been thrown out
for a better and cleaner surroundings.
To make use of those non-biodegradable
garbage by converting it into useful things.
To teach students tips and ways to make use
of their garbage.
To maintain cleanliness in their classroom.

Vision
To ensure everyone’s safety in terms of just
making sure that the environment is clean.
Also to provide the simplest way to
eradicate garbage that is the worst problem
of every school.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to lessen the pile
of garbage in every grade 7 classroom. To
help them learn how to wisely manage their
wastes. To give them ideas on how to turn
these discarded or useless materials into
something worthy that they can also do in
their houses.
DESCRIPTION
This project will be tested to Grade 7
students. They will be given one green box
for each section. This green box will contain
the type of garbage they will collect for each
week. In short, a garbage box but we will
make it presentable to symbolize its
potential function or use to our lives. In the
first week of this project, students will
collect plastic bottles. And lastly, to
motivate students in participating in this
project, prizes will be given to the most
number of garbage collected. Consolation
prizes will be given to those who exerted
effort.

This project comes along with a website that

will be used as an instrument for promoting
proper waste management and maintaining
cleanliness and disseminating information
about the development and current situation
of the project. At the end of the week, a
video about the up cycling of garbage
collected will be uploaded into the website.
To ensure that the grade 7 students will learn
through the video uploaded into the website,
they will make their own version of the
product using the garbage they collected and
we will collect their made project.

The students need to login into the website

to prove that they are participating to these
project. In short, the website will be the
main communication tool.

To measure the effectiveness of this project,

we will conduct this survey among the
advisers and teachers of Grade 7 students if
the cleanliness of the classroom is
concerned.

SUPPORT

We need budget for buying those prizes for

the project that will be given to the winners
and runner-ups.
