INTRODUCTION
At present the technological field is advancing faster than expected. During the last two
decades, there has been a huge growth in the size of networks and this is due to the inevitable
need to stay in communication. According to our Bishoftu poly technic college infrastructure,
reduces the ability of the various devices built into the network design. From this situation,
every day in our college or other organizations it becomes necessary a good network design
that guarantees the security, availability, scalability and performance of the network
environment, this balance offers security to one of the most valuable assets in any organization,
information. For this reason, my project shows the importance of a flexible design that can
adapt to changes in traffic pattern and other requirements, changes that may come
From new protocols, and avoid incorporating design elements that would make it difficult to
implement new Technologies in the future. To this end, the new network infrastructure of
Bishoftu poly Technic College with the purpose of providing efficient connectivity to the
numerous services and network applications to the students and Teachers and any users
Preparation of the design computer network proposal on how to set up a secure network
infrastructure in the new one Room to support institution operations the purpose of the
proposal is to illustrate the project plan to setup a Network infrastructure for a technic college
in Bishoftu PTC. The building houses some offices, classrooms, and library and computer labs.
The installation system must be very serious in security measures since the college would
protect the students, Teachers, employees and intellectual data of the institution. The purpose
of the proposal is to outline a short plan on how to shape and implement the project including
the milestones and the deliverables. For 15 computers,
The advantages of ring topology according to my plan
ring topology Computer Network as a system consisting of multiple computers that are linked
by some means of data communication for twisted pair cable. Within one class room circle
Computer networks offer several advantages for the administration of an organization.

computers and programs when sharing a shared resource, allowing us
to share a network printer, CD players, etc.

Statement of problem definition

 In our country Ethiopia most internet users cannot use properly because of network
installation traffic challenges
 Manually plug and unplug network cables are crashed the cables
 For some computer not distributed equal network services
 We cannot predict day to day increase users
 Difficult in file and resource sharing
 There is no centrally administered resource and file
 Lack of security
 Difficulty in available of resource
 To Mach efforts
Objectives of the project
General objective
The general objective of this project to design and implementation of computer network

Specific objective
 Investigating requirements of new installations of required equipment network cable
and software needed for running the network system
 To know number of users and designing Topology
 To know needed speed of internet and how much computer needed
 To connect computers on the network
 To control and use computers for efficiently
 Use resources without extravagancy
 Testing hardware and software

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

This project focuses on installing and configuring switch based network having internet
connection in one building only for one classes and number of computer is fifteen with one
switch along wall trunk outlet box for avoiding injure of materials and broadly sharing
information efficiently and exactly.

Significance of the project

My project proposes to solve a problem and find the way of to simplifies students training
My projects the following advantages can be expected
Reduce material crashes
Reduce extravagancy of an internet
Number of computer and number of users are equivalent
Arrangement topology is portable way

 Methodology to be followed according to the following
 Literature survey and data collection will be done on this room
 Complete lay out of the whole set up will be drown in the form of block diagram
 Design and implement on diagram
 Write the step to implement
 Prepare proper documentation about the project
 Connecting all peripherals to the internet
