“Faith is the Light that will Guide you through Darkness.

Millions of churches and thousands of religions. Different beliefs with one faith.

Just like that Baptist Church here, and the Catholic Church.

People often get confused between the religious groups Catholic and Baptist.

However, the two religions share a very common belief both have faith in Jesus Christ.
The differences however, lie in some of the more specific aspects practiced in each
religion.

Baptists are actually a group who believe in the ‘baptism of believers’ through
Jesus. They are the people that are adult believers in Christ. In this regard, they tend to
reject the doctrine of infant baptism by Catholics. This is believed to be true because
they postulate that only adults who are able to bear greater understanding about life and
sin can actually have ‘real’ trust in Jesus.

On the other hand, ‘Catholic’ is a more universal term. But to be more specific, it is one
and the same with the religious group that the world knows as the Roman Catholic
Church. It is undoubtedly the largest religious group ever formed since the time that
Jesus ‘walked’ the planet. Its central focus is on salvation through works wherein man
can also be saved, not only by faith but also by undergoing the sacraments that include
infant baptism, communion and many others.

Compared to Catholic Church, Baptist Church is less on decorations and Saints.

Also you will notice their difference immediately without telling it.

Roman Catholic is the biggest church known to exist today, compared to the

smaller Baptist Church. The central focus of the Baptist Church is salvation through
faith in God alone, whereas the Catholics believe in the same plus the belief in
the Holy sacraments as the way to salvation.
We also noticed that Baptists we’re friendly and welcome us warmly, like we are
family, like we are one. There homily was much longer and mostly based on real life
situations. Where you can gain knowledge about life, knowledge that you can’t take
from school but only to the one who’s standing in front of crowd and sharing the
thoughts and lesson that he acquire through his journey.

Just like one of the pastor said, “When you want to be smart, go to the Ants”. In
that moment we didn’t get what he said. But later on, he continued what he’s saying
and explain his though. Ants don’t have any ruler but they managed to live. They
manage their lives, they manage to be alive without anyone commanding them. They
work with their own, with their own feet’s and life. Ants carry to survive all the misery
they’ve been facing.

“Wisdom vs. Slothiness” Being lazy can be victim of demon.

There, we realized he was comparing us to the Ants. Ants being hardworking while
people being lazy. Ants doing their jobs to store foods before the rainy days. They are
not strong compare to us but they prepare for their needs.

As a lesson for the pastor’s homily, we perceive that maybe, we should be like
Ants. Not in the literal way, but like them, they are smart. Being weak is not obstruction
to do your job.
