Canada has many beautiful cities. Two of my favor- ites are Quebec City in Eastern Canada and
Vancou- ver in Western Canada. Vancouver is right on the Pacific coast, and it’s just 7 feet
above sea level. Que- bec City is farther from the coast and higher than Vancouver.

It overlooks the Saint Lawrence River. When I visit- ed Quebec City, I took some great photos
of the river
from the famous hotel Chateau Frontenac. Quebec City has the charm of an old historic city. It
is a lot older than Vancouver. Vancouver has an old quarter too, but it is younger than Quebec
City.

Vancouver, with its milder climate is better known for its gardens and parks. Stanley Park in
Vancouver is bigger than most urban parks, and people visit it all year round, but I think it is
more fun to go in the spring or early summer. That is when the flowers are in bloom.

Text 3
The largest penguins are the Emperor Penguins. They are almost 4 feet ( about 1.2 meters ) tall and
weigh from 70 to 90 pound ( about 32 to 41 kilo- grams ). They live on the ice around the Antarctic
continent. This is the coldest climate on earth.

Of the 17 different species of penguins, the Macacroni Penguins have the biggest popula- tion, while
the Galapagos Penguins have the smallest. In fact, some scientists worry that Galapagos Penguins may
become extinct.

People say penguins are the cutest, the funniest, and the most love birds. They also say they’re the
most formal. Do you know why? It’s because they look as if they’re wearing tuxedos.
