AGRICULTURE SCIENCE SBA

Name of project: Broiler Production

Location: Edwin Allen High School
Start date: January 22, 2020
Termination: February 28, 2020

INTRODUCTION
 PROBLEM STATEMENT
In a school highly populated, students need protein on a daily basis. Chicken is considered to
be a good source of protein. The department of agriculture has set out to rear enough chickens
so has to supply the school canteen with enough meet to provide the protein needed in the
student’s diet.

 AIM
The aim of this experiment is to determine whether birds fed on hypro feed give a better yield
than birds fed on nutramix feed.

METHODOLOGY
 EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
Two groups of birds (50 each) were placed adjacent to each other in a pen. Each group was
given similar conditions (light, temperature, space, water).Group one was given Nutramix
feed while group two was given Hypro feed. Samples of 10 birds were taken from each group
and their growth rate measured over a seven day period.
