Why is it important to speak creatively in a job interview?

A lot of employers value creativity in the workplace. Companies gain a competitive edge
through being innovative and forward-thinking in their approach to business. Creativity is
essential to stand out from the rest and that is why candidates should use power and
creative words and expressions that will have an impact on the interview. It also important
so that the interviewer can notice the wide range of vocabulary being used. During the job
interviewing process it's important to use verbs and expressions that precisely describe the
candidates´ duties at their present and past positions.

Here are some of these expressions:

↦ One of the most common interview questions that most of us experienced or will
experience at some point is “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”. How
to answer what are your strengths?
*I’m good at/I’m skilled at multitasking/working under pressure/working to a deadline,
or my strength is/are my ability to problem solve/be enthusiastic/speak fluent English,
etc.
For instance, “My greatest strength is my writing skills”. “I work well under
pressure, and I've never missed a deadline.” / “I’ve always preferred to work in
groups and find that my collaborative nature is one of my strongest attributes.” / I
believe that my greatest strength is the ability to solve problems quickly and
efficiently.
↦What are your weaknesses? Preparation and having a response ready are
paramount to a successful job interview. When thinking about your weaknesses, it's crucial
to choose attributes that you are proactively working on or demonstrate steps you are
taking to turn that weakness into a strength.
* I tend to be overly critical of myself. / I'm not familiar with the latest version of the
software that you use. /I always try to avoid confrontation, in both my personal and
professional life.

↦ Creative process. When you put everything together, the example of your
creativity should be engaging and to-the-point. You should use some words to show
how creative and innovative you are.
*For instance, “One of my key creative accomplishments occurred in my current job,
when I had to increase market share for a new product without increasing our existing
marketing budget. I kicked off with some internal brainstorming on how to maximize
the use of our resources and be more creative in the way we market. The ultimate
aim was to create a community of fans and buzz around the new product. / Making a
true difference in the lives of my patients motivates me to strive for excellence in
everything I do. / I can proactively tackle issues/ I am also a lifelong learner, always
seeking out the latest security equipment. / I’m a natural problem-solver. I find it
rewarding to dig deep and uncover solutions to challenges—it’s like solving a puzzle.
Remember you need to be unique and separate yourself from the talent pool! Follow
this tips to really stand out among all the other interviewees! It’s not too late to add an
element of creativity to your interview!
