EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

CSR policies of the companies play important role in overall development of the society so to
understand that current study is undertaken.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE:
 To study the corporate social responsibility of nestle in India
 To know the impact of various schemes and activities of nestle towards society.

In literature review we covered various project of CSR activities which are implemented by
MNC’s and Government Co.

QUESTIONNAIRE:

The questionnaire of the research was comprised of 9 questions. All the questions were relevant
to the research objectives and the hypothesis statements.

DATA ANALYSIS:

Data analysis of the research was comprised of questions, Reponses to the questions in the
tabulated form, appropriate graphs such as bar charts, pie charts and interpretation of the
responses to the questions in the questionnaire.

FINDINGS:
Findings 1: From the above data we can clearly see that 20 and below are 21, 21-30 are 32, 31-
40 are 25, 41-50 are 11 and 50 and above are 11.

Finding 2: It is observed that out of 100 respondent, 28 are students, 48 are employees, 11 are
self-employed and 15 are retired.

Finding 3: From the above data it is observed that out of 100 respondents 92% are like the
Nestle products.

Finding 4: It is noticed that out of 100 respondent 75 respondents know about the CSR of Nestle
,11 respondents does not know about CSR of Nestle and others i.e. 14 are not sure.

Finding 5: It is observed that 59 respondents thinks that CSR of Nestle is helping the society, 3
respondents are not sure and 5 respondents thinks that CSR of Nestle is not helping the society.
Finding 6: from the above data we can clearly see that 51 respondents are not sure that CSR
create share value or not, 8 respondents are saying no, 41 respondents’ thinks that CSR of Nestle
helps to create share value.

Finding 7: It is noticed that 53% activities are related to Nutrition, 52% activities are related to
Water and Sanitation, 57% activities are related to Education, 38% activities are related to
Environment and 38% activities are related to Livelihood.

Finding 8: It observed that 65 respondents believe that CSR of Nestle India is improving quality
of life and 31 respondents are not sure about it.

Finding 9: It is noticed that out of 100, 70 respondents are satisfied with the CSR of Nestle and
trust them, 26 respondents are not sure whether they are satisfied or not with the CSR activity of
Nestle.

Findings
Findings 1: From the above data we can clearly see that 20 and below are 21, 21-30 are 32, 31-

Finding 2: It is observed that out of 100 respondent, 28 are students, 48 are employees, 11 are
self-employed and 15 are retired.

Finding 3: From the above data it is observed that out of 100 respondents 92% are like the
Nestle products.

Finding 4: It is noticed that out of 100 respondent 75 respondents know about the CSR of Nestle
,11 respondents does not know about CSR of Nestle and others i.e 14 are not sure.

Finding 5:It is observed that 59 respondents thinks that CSR of Nestle is helping the society, 3
respondents are not sure and 5 respondents thinks that CSR of Nestle is not helping the society.
Finding 6: from the above data we can clearly see that 51 respondents are not sure that CSR
create share value or not, 8 respondents are saying no, 41 respondents’ thinks that CSR of Nestle
helps to create share value.

Finding 7: It is noticed that 53% activities are related to Nutrition, 52% activities are related to
Water and Sanitation, 57% activities are related to Education, 38% activities are related to
Environment and 38% activities are related to Livelihood.

Finding 8: It observed that 65 respondents believe that CSR of Nestle India is improving quality
of life and 31 respondents are not sure about it.

Finding 9: It is noticed that out of 100, 70 respondents are satisfied with the CSR of Nestle and
trust them, 26 respondents are not sure whether they are satisfied or not with the CSR activity of
Nestle.

LIMITATIONS:
No research work is free from certain limitations. These limitations cannot be
ignored while judging the research validity. This project has its own limitations,
which are as follows:

 The analysis and interpretations of the study are correct only to the
information provided by the customers.
 Lack of time and unavailability delayed the analysis of data.
 Restricted to carry the survey at location.
 Some of the respondents in spite of the request made were not ready to fill the
questionnaire due to lack of time and interest.

CONCLUSION:
This Research has provided results regarding CSR of Nestle India Ltd.The people
are satisfied with the CSR of the company as it helps to provide a quality life.

Hence, society’s behaviour is positive towards the Nestle India which is beneficial
for the company to provide a better health as well as to sustain in the future.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Nestle India is best for their food and beverages but in the CSR activities farmers
are not getting preference, farmers would have to get some more preference by
getting facilities of seed and financial schemes. CSR activity of Nestle have to be

more and more efficient which ultimately helps company to get more goodwill in
the market.

Our problem statement for research proposal will be “CSR play important role for the company
as well as for the society, so to understand this current study is undertake”.

The research objective for the project shall be to study:


 To study the corporate social responsibility of nestle in India
 To know various schemes and activities of nestle towards society.
