January 2020).

Science For In-service Candidates: Candidates having experience of working
in a library or similar other Organizations in a substantive post, not
below the category of clerical cadre in a Government organization or
equivalent, for at least 3 years may be exempted from the
requirement of minimum marks at the graduation level (10+2+3) for
admission. Such candidates will have to submit No-objection
certificate and a certificate stating the last pay drawn from his/her
employer.

@ Applicants of the PGGR and PGZO will have to pay only Rs. 275/- as application fees at the time of Online
Application. Rest of the amount i.e. 1/2 of Total Course Fees and Admission Fees will have to pay at the time of
admission during counselling, only after getting allotment of seats to the course which will be made strictly on the
basis of merit and following the reservation policy of the Government of West Bengal and the University.

PROGRAMME DURATION:
Master of Library & Information Science and Bachelor of Library & Information Science are of 1-year duration
(registration will be valid for 3 years). All Other Post Graduate programmes are of 2-year duration (registration will be
valid for 5 years).

RELAXATION OF MARKS:
Marks relaxation as per rules of Govt. of West Bengal applicable for reserved category of candidates.

Admission in any course is provisional subject to determination of eligibility by the University at the time of giving
enrollment number. If any discrepancy is revealed later, responsibility will rest on the applicant and his/her admission
will be cancelled and no claim for refund of fees will be entertained. Students are, therefore, advised to satisfy
themselves as regards their eligibility for a particular course before taking admission.
