1: Introduction To System

System analysis is a process of gathering and interpreting facts,

diagnosing problems and the information to recommend
improvements on the system. It is a problem-solving activity that
requires intensive communication between the system users and
system developers. System analysis or study is an important phase of
any system development process. The system is studied to the
minutest detail and analyzed. The system analyst plays the role of the
interrogator and dwells deep into the working of the present system.
The system is viewed and the input to the system are identified. The
outputs from the organizations are traced to the various
processes. System analysis is concerned with becoming aware of the
problem, identifying the relevant and decisional variables, analyzing
and synthesizing the various factors and determining an optimal or at
least a satisfactory solution or program of action.

A detailed study of the process must be made by various

techniques like interviews, questionnaires etc. The data collected by
these sources must be scrutinized to arrive to a conclusion. The
conclusion is an understanding of how the system functions. This
system is called the existing system. Now the existing system is
subjected to close study and problem areas are identified. The

5
designer now functions as a problem solver and tries to sort out the
difficulties that the enterprise faces.

The solutions are given as proposals. The proposal is then weighed

with the existing system analytically and the best one is selected. The
proposal is presented to the user for an endorsement by the user.s

6
1.2 Scope of the System:

1 The System is user friendly as the windows in the system are good in
the appearances with the control placed neatly.
2 The system facility easy retrieval of record also the reports are
generated quickly and the methods for generating the reports is also
easy.
3 The vital scope of system making is to reduce manual efforts .
4 Better GUI(Graphical User Interface)
5 The software project is including almost all aspects of college placement.

7
1.3 Proposed System:
LAPTOP SHOPEE MANAGEMENT is fully computerized system. It
removes all drawbacks of exiting system providing lot of facilities for user such
as Employee information, Dealer information, Laptop specification and Stock

 Security of data.
 Ensure data accuracies.
 Proper control of the higher officials.
 Minimize manual data entry.
 Minimum time needed for the various processing.
 Greater efficiency.
 Better service.
 User friendliness and interactive.
 Minimum time required.
 Less of paper work since there is automated report generation facility.

8
2: Analysis:

2.1 Fact Finding Technique

To study any system the analyst needs to collect facts and all relevant
information. The fact when expressed in quantative form are termed as data.
The success of any project depends upon the accuracy of available data.
Accurate information can can be collected with help of certain
methos/techniques.

This specific methods for finding information of the system are termed as fact
finding techniques.

1. DOCUMENT STUDY:

The documents and registers maintained by Example sellers were studied. The
document studied are listed below:

The Customer Form

The Staff Form

Example Details Form

Bill Receipt Form

2. Observation:

The technique helped in understanding the actual process of product control

employees & customer management etc.
9
Questionnaires:-

We used this technique in the initial and final phases of the project. In the initial
phases we prepared questionnaires to get some basic information about the
system. We could find out the work structure of the organization and its
functioning. In the final stage we used the questionnaires to get some Numeral
data that was required or was missing after all the observations. Questions
asked were both open ended and close ended which were related to user’s
interaction with the current system updating and rules for the record
maintenance.

10
2.2 Feasibility Study:

The feasibility of the project is analyzed in this phase and

business proposal is put forth with a very general plan for the project and some
cost estimates. During system analysis the feasibility study of the proposed
system is to be carried out. This is to ensure that the proposed system is not a
burden to the company. For feasibility analysis, some understanding of the
major requirements for the system is essential.

Three key considerations involved in the feasibility analysis are

ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY

SOCIAL FEASIBILITY

ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY
This study is carried out to check the economic impact that the system will have
on the organization. The amount of fund that the company can pour into the
research and development of the system is limited. The expenditures must be
justified. Thus the developed system as well within the budget and this was
achieved because most of the technologies used are freely available. Only the
customized products had to be purchased.

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY
This study is carried out to check the technical feasibility, that is, the technical
requirements of the system. Any system developed must not have a high demand
on the available technical resources. This will lead to high demands on the
available technical resources. This will lead to high demands being placed on the
client. The developed system must have a modest requirement, as only minimal or
null changes are required for implementing this system.

11
SOCIAL FEASIBILITY
The aspect of study is to check the level of acceptance of the system by the
user. This includes the process of training the user to use the system efficiently.
The user must not feel threatened by the system, instead must accept it as a
necessity. The level of acceptance by the users solely depends on the methods that
are employed to educate the user about the system and to make him familiar with it.
His level of confidence must be raised so that he is also able to make some
constructive criticism, which is welcomed, as he is the final user of the system.
