INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORT

An Industrial visit to Indrayani Handlooms, Nagpur was organized by the G.H RAISONI
INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, NAGPUR DEPARTMENT OF
MANAGEMENT on Tuesday, 18th February 2020. 84 Management students and two
faculties visited Indrayani Handlooms to get information related to production,
manufacturing process and marketing strategies of the industry.
Indrayani Handlooms, Government of Maharashtra undertaking is a corporation ensuring
welfare of weavers and artisans.
In the afternoon, at around 12 pm we visited to Indrayani handlooms. We divided our
students in 2 batches for the visit and interacted with the production manager. Indrayani
Handlooms has a vision to empower and encourage growth of weavers and bunker
community by launching their collection and products on online websites as well. Under the
brand they provide:-
 Hand woven saress
 Mulberry silk sarees
 Banana and Bamboo silk sarees
 Cotton bed sheets
The session was concluded with question and answer session. Many of the students asked
different questions to the Production Head about the handlooms machines, production,
distribution process, etc. and he cleared all the doubts of the students. All students were
satisfied after the session.

Finally, we left the premises at 2 p.m. It was an informative, interesting and a successful visit.
We express our thanks to the Production Head and all team members of Indrayani
Handlooms who spent their valuable time for us. We also thank to our respected Principal
and HOD who motivate us to arrange such an informative program. We request you to
arrange more industrial visit in the future for the students which will be helpful for the
students and help to train our students.
