Cumulative Reflection
I am a transfer student at Iowa State University. I was in community college for two

years. Before I transferred to Iowa State, I was confused about where I should finish my four

years degree. I searched and gathered a lot of in formation about U.S universities, the

curriculum, the rank, and students’ activities. I ended up between Iowa state and UT Cockrell

school of engineering. Finally, I decided to attend Iowa State. My first semester was exciting at

Iowa State University compared to other schools i attended. I was so grateful to go ahead and

pursue my passion for electrical engineering at this prestigious university.

The curriculum at the university is well set to deliver high-quality knowledge and prepare

professional engineers for the industries. Also, instructors are so professional and supportive.

The university resources are up to date and familiar with the new technologies in the engineering

field. Also, the practical side of the materials is well delivered and connected to real-life

applications. The instructing style is a mix between the classic and modern that encourages

critical thinking and learn how to learn as a student l benefit more from the university resources

to improve my skills and learn creatively.

What astonished me at Iowa State University is the activities that induce students to

engage in clubs, associations, and athlete activities. I have a passion for networking because the

university is an excellent opportunity to improve people's skills or learn and practice new hopes.

Also, in my perspective, the industry environment is more likely to be about teamwork, which

involves leadership, people, diversity skills more than technical ones. The way students interact

is typically like a workplace. So I have been involved effectively in many student organizations

and clubs. Also, I have done a lot of teamwork, such as labs, projects, and senior design projects,
where I have practiced a lot of what I have learned to deliver a good outcome that will reflect in

our project deliverables.

My four years In undergrad school are precious, particularly the ones at Iowa State. I still

have another year to graduate, which means many development opportunities for my educational

pace and my future career. Been able to think critically and differently to reflect on what is going

on is an invaluable outcome of my years in undergrad school. Also, the idea of continuous

learning is what i got myself concerned about because the industry became a place for innovative

and self-educated people.
