ASSESEMENT 1: POURED AND TAPPED BULK DENSITY

Material & Apparatus:

Sugar, measuring cup and weighing scale.

Procedure:
Poured Bulk Density
a) Weigh the measuring cup and record the value.

b) Pour the sugar carefully into the measuring cup.

c) Read the volume of sugar on the measuring cup.
d) Measure the combine mass of the sugar and measuring cup and record the value.

Tapped Bulk Density

a) After performing the step (a) until (d), tap the cylinder using hand.
b) Tap the measuring cup 50 taps per minute.
c) Record volume of the sugar after tap.

Results and Calculations:

Mass of measuring cup = 33g

Mass of sample + measuring cup = 200g
Mass of sample = 167g
