FILIPINO INFRASTRUCTURE

1. Philippine Arena
- Start: august 17, 2011
- Finished: May 30, 2014
- It is a multipurpose indoor are with a maximum seating capacity of 55,000 at Ciudad
de Victoria, a 140 hectares tourism enterprise zone.
- World largest indoor arena
- Korean firm, Hanhwa engineering and construction manage the construction of
Philippine Arena
- Seating of arena resembles the Greek Ampitheater, built in semicircle with seats at the
sides and front of the arena stage. The seattings are divided in 3 sections colored:
green, white and red.
- Built on 99200 sq. meters of land and has done over 9000 sq. meters, height of 65m.

2. San Juanico bridge


- Also called as “bridge of love”
- Start: 1969
- Finished: December 1972
- Known to be the longest bridge in the Philippines spanning a body of 2.162km (1.34
miles) and with 10 620 meters supported by 43 spans.
- Connects the provinces of Samar and Leyte and is one of the monumental projects
under former President Marcos’administration
- Inaugurated on July 2, 1973

3. The Gramercy residence


- A residential high-rise condominium in Makati, Philippines
- Also known as “The Gramercy Residence at Century City”
- 4th tallest building in Philippines
- Floor count: 73
- Area: 118,000 sq. meters
- Was planned and designed by California based architectural ground Jerde
Partnership International in collaboration with Philippine Architectural firm Roger
Villarosa Architects and Associates
- Main attraction of the building is the skypark on 36th floor
- Has 3-story waterfalls, multilevel infinity pool, lagoon pools, designer restaurant,
health club, café, spa, garden island and contilevering pathways

4. San Roque Dam


-location: San Miguel and San Nicolas, Pangasinan and Itogo, Benguet
- construction date: 1998
- opening: May 1, 2003
- a 200m tall, 1.2 km long embankment dam on Agno River
- provides year sound irrigation benefits for 708 sq. km of farmland downstream of the
dam
- has an installed rated capacity of 45 megawatts
-improves the quality of water in the lower Agno river
5. Philippine International Convention Center (PICC)
- Construction date: 1974
- Finished: 1976
- Designed by Leandro V. Locsin
- Has more than 70,000 sq meters of floor area
- Has 5 modules: delegation building, secretarial building, plenary hall, reception hall
and the forum
- Located at cultural center of the Philippines

6. The Grand Hyatt Manila


- Construction started: 2011
- Construction finished: 2017
- Opening : January 23, 2018
- Located in Bonifacio Global City Taguig Metro Manila
- Tallest building in Philippines since the completion in 2017
- Has height of 318m (1043ft) and height up to his roof of 250, has 66 floors and 461
guest room
- Has 3 major restaurant: The Grand Kitchen, No.8 China House and the Peak
- Architecture and design by Wong and Ouyang and Casas Architects
- Ove Arup and Partners are responsible for the wind structural and seismic engineering
of the building.
