BASED ON YOUR ASSUMPTIONS, DESCRIBE THE COMMUNITY OF THE TAGALOGS
PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF THE SPANIARDS AND CHRISTIANIZATION OF
FILIPINOS IN TERMS OF THE FOLLOWING.
1. RELIGIOUS PRACTICES
I assume that Filipinos in Pre-Colonial Philippines believed in paganism or polytheism.
Pre-Colonial Filipinos worship many Gods based on the nature, like the God of Wind,
God of Fire, God of the Sea, or they worship Gods based on happenings like God of War,
and God of love.

2. CONCEPTS OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY

I assume that Filipinos in Pre-Colonial Philippines are wed like by having ritual done by
a priest or a priestess, and the groom will give dowry to the bride’s family to prove the
groom can give a good life for his wife.

3. COMMUNITY MORES, VALUES, AND BELIEFS

I assume the Pre-Colonial Filipinos have also mores, values and beliefs that they are
planting crops, fishing, hunting and do many more things to survive on their
environment.

4. COMMUNITY LAWS AND POLITICAL SYSTEM

I think Pre-Colonial Filipinos also have laws and political system, I assume they have a
class system like the kings and emperors in the Europe. I think every leader of a clan will
pick a wisest clan leader that will rule them properly and just.

5. ECONOMIC SYSTEM
I think the economic system of the Pre-Colonial Filipinos is based on exchanging goods
like the bartering system. Because I think there is are coins in the Pre-Colonial
Philippines, because there is no technology that can make coins in the land.

6. SOCIALIZATION PRACTICES
I think Pre-Colonial Filipinos are socializing by having feast, like they are dancing and
having food to enjoy. I think they also socialize by helping one another in everyday living
like when they are hunting for food or building a house.
