District Superintendent March 2020

Bishop Sue AND the Griffin District

Our Bishop, Sue Hauphert-Johnson is coming to be with us on Sunday, March 29 at 3:30 at
Fayetteville First UMC! She is excited to have this chance to share her heart and answer some
of our burning questions.

In order to best use our time, we ask that you submit your questions for Bishop Sue ahead of
time, at this link: www.ngumc.org/questions. While she may not be able to answer all
questions, she will get to as many as possible.

Additionally, we are excited to be meeting together with the Griffin District for this gathering.
We look forward to the added joy and strength we gain as we join hands in prayer and learning
and ministry with our sisters and brothers in the Griffin District. Don’t miss this chance to hear
and share!

I look forward to seeing you all there, and the Bishop asked me to convey her joyful anticipation
in being with you.

In the love of Christ,

Susan
Redistricting in North Georgia for Mission and Stewardship

With an aim toward optimizing mission, ministry, and stewardship across the North
Georgia Conference, Conference leadership has developed a proposal to restructure our
districts from 12 to 8. Working with a strategic growth consultant, new district lines have
been drawn in a mission-focused manner more reflective of today’s North Georgia
Conference and the communities we serve. Follow the link below for a FAQs, a
presentation, and a video about the new district structure.
