Grammy recognized artist to perform at Loresto Fest 2010

HO CHI MINH CITY, October 5th, 2010 — Anand Bhatt, the Grammy Recognized
Rocker, will perform at Loresto Fest 2010 as a part of his South East Asia tour.

On his trip to Vietnam this time, Anand’s plan is to focus on charity activities for children.

Apart from being a television and movie actor, Anand is most well-known for his
Grammy recognized music as both a solo artist and the front man for the hardcore band
Anand Clique. He is also the first Indian-American to be inducted into the Latin
Grammys.

Anand Bhatt’s good reputation has also partly built upon his charity efforts which have
garnered good attention of public. Some successful activities that Anand has
contributed so far include Animal Rescue, Teen Rehabilitation, and Gulf Oil Spill
cleanup.

Anand Bhatt said, “This is the first time that I have been in Vietnam. Thus, participating
in such an exciting music event like LorestoFest 2010 an honor for me because I have a
chance to bring my music to audiences in Vietnam as well as give a hand to some
disadvantaged Vietnamese children.”

LorestoFest is a special annual charity event to raise funds for Loreto Vietnam Australia
Program. Money raised from LoretoFest will also go towards a wide range of activities
that assist disadvantaged and disabled kids by addressing numerous areas of their
learning needs.

The focus for funds raised at LoretoFest 2010 is the reconstruction of Long Phuoc
Primary School, one of the most needy schools in District 9 which currently teaches
over 500 students.
“The generosity of HCMC’s community has enabled us to raise over US$145,000 for
Loreto initiatives over the past three years,” said Trish Franklin, Loreto Vietnam
Australia Project Coordinator. “We hope that with the participation of great talents like
Anand Bhatt, LorestoFest 2010 will be able to call on more public attention and support
as well as extend our help to more children.”

Anand Bhatt is going to implement ‘school of rock’ event as the next charity activities
after the music festival.
