Garments Defects

It is divided into 3 categories;


1. Fabric defects
2. Workmanship defects
3. Trims & Embellishment defects

Fabric defects:
1. Major defect is running shade.
2. S/S shade or Selvedge to Selvedge Shade.
3. Hole.
4. Missing yarn.
5. Foreign yarn.
6. Staining.
7. Hairiness.

Workmanship defects:
1. Cutting defects.
2. Pattern defects.
A. Sewing defects:
- Seam puckering.
- Broken seam/ open seam.
- Broken stitch.
- Slipped stitch.
- Wavy/ staggered stitch.
- Uncut/ loose thread.

3. Ironing fault;
a. Look crinkle (if poor ironing)
b. Look shiny (if too much ironing)
4. Finishing fault;
a. Misplacement of label, hangtag, stitches etc.
b. Misaligned button, unfinished button whole, distance fault of
button.
c. Wrong folding.

Trims & Embellishment defects:


1. Mismatch of shade between zipper tape & body fabric.
2. Unmatched color of button & thread.
3. Broken hanger of polybag.
4. Printake mistake.
5. Printing mistake or label.
6. Misplacement of embroidery & appliqué.
